Those holes are for rifle barrels for home defense...there will be a little wood bar that was lifted inside on bottom window frame, so barrel of rifle could be angled. Saw it on a historic 1860s home on tv.
I always grieve deeply when a dear "sister of the heart" friend passes away...because I dearly love them. But then I ask myself..."would you have rather NEVER had them in your Life??" ...My heart LEAPS FORWARD, FEELING ALL THE LAUGHTER, WISDOM AND LOVE THEY BROUGHT INTO MY LIFE...AND I ANSWER...WITH A PRAYER OF HUMBLE THANK YOUS TO GOD...FOR LETTING MY LIFE'S PATHWAY INTERTWINE WITH THEIRS.
Hi Marcy, So very sorry to hear about the loss of your dear friend. Hang onto all those beautiful memories of your friendship and visit them often. Thanks for another lovely video🧡
I’m so sorry about your loss. I love your vision about that old house. I laughed when you said Kevin never tells you no because Bill would have said no and kept on driving! 😂 It’s sad to think that house will be tore down. I hope someone can salvage some of the architectural details. I always thought those holes in the bottom of storm windows were for condensation drainage, but those are pretty big.
Kevin never tells me no, but I’m always telling him no, lol. I say “You don’t need another whatever.” He’d have a heyday telling me I don’t need another dish, but he never does. Yeah, that house is cool!
I’m sorry Marcy to hear about your friend. I lost my buddy last January. What a beautiful collection of salt shakers. I can only imagine the owners hunt to find them all. Oh, the house. I think we would all come to help you. Thank you.
Hello sweet friend Marcy ! I am so sorry for your loss. I can imagine you could have been dreaming about what you could to this house as you were walking around it. Because you are so Talented. Ack in the day i bet it was Beautiful . That ws different seeing all salt shaker. But some were really Beautiful. I do like the two you got. That picture with those pimkins was Absolutely Beautiful. Marcy i Love when we visit you on your porch. Thank you for bringing us along with you and I enjoyed every minute of it. So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed evening and stay safe my dear and Special Friends. ❤❤❤
Hello Marcy I loved that old house,so much character,I’m like you it could be resurrected and the yard with ferns, lilacs, roses and garden arches with ironworks setting areas and a swing on the porch 💖🩷. I’m so sorry about your lady friends passing (she would have loved that house)(she probably lead you to it)…. The single salt shakers 🧂 I always called them orphans (I at one time collected them too!) thanks for sharing a lovely video
Oh Marcy, what a BEAUTIFUL tribute you gave about your dear old friend that passed on. I hope some day someone can say that many beautiful things about me. You yourself are a dear friend to so many, I am sure; through your RU-vid channel. You are a joy to listen to!
I lost an older friend like you. She to me was a friend just like yours. We loved the same things and on and on like you. I miss her so much. Love old houses too. I live in an 1820s Stagecoach Inn. I dreamed about it for years. Laughing about you and your hubby abd your dream.
So very sorry for the loss of your dear friend💔and understand how difficult it is as I’ve lost two close friends recently. That sunbeam shining down was her smiling at you♥️🙏♥️
If that home is scheduled for demo...maybe you could ask for the gingerbread, door and brackets beneath windows. You could use the door on your shop...and re-use gingerbread by making it a shelf...and use window brackets as brackets for shelf...or robe holders in bathroom. Recyle that charm!
Could find out thru local town mayor or country government, they could give the name of company doing demo...or it might be a fire department demolition as a home burned down training, so fire chief could agree you could recycle items. Bet you could get those items free or for small price...it would add history and beauty to your own home.
Marcy Jo - This was the sweetest vlog. Yes, it was bittersweet, but such is life. You and your dear friend were so lucky to have each other for so many years. I felt the love in your words. Dream about the darling house...it will bring many hours of enjoyment. It will lift your heart and inspire many artistic ideas.❤
Dear Marcy, Thsnk you for sharing. I too had a much older friend for 40 years. She was a true joy and brought light and love and Jesus to everyone. Always enjoy your videos. The leaves here in Indiana are starting to turn. We have had that bright blue sky lately that will look wonderful against the colored leaves. Have a very Blessed night, Love, Hilah
Marcy, I'm sorry you lost your dear friend 💔 Sounds like you both treasured each other's friendship. I too also see the vision of the empty farmhouse.... don't stop dreaming girl 🌻 Take care of your heart & spirit 🙏
@@ImHome-yl4ur I don't know yet,I haven't been to my mailbox in 4 weeks ! 🤭 Guess I better go check, will let u know. Thanks in advance for the seeds 🌻 Take care of yourself 🍁
I hate seeing houses like that being torn down. People would rather put a lot of money in a new house than save these with so much character. I remarried and moved away from my women friends. Our neighbors now are mostly week-enders and some very unsociable people. It has been 21 years and I still miss my lady friends. We did everything together.
😢💔Oh sorry about your friend I know what you mean I lost a dear friend several years ago in a boating accident When his wife called me and said Sid is gone Dummy me I said gone where 🙄In my line of work I mostly deal with women Sid loved antiques chinoiserie and my store and home I still see or get in things and think Sid would love this 😔
