One of the hardest punchers in boxing history! During Big George's comeback barely anyone gave him a chance to ever become a champion again but he proved his greatness in his heroic performance against Holyfield and then his title winning stunning KO against Michael Moorer. Big George past his prime but still one of the best! www.patreon.com/haNZAgod
@@Bronco_Billy_Jack_Hills George foreman was never number 1 in the era. Ali got his greatness from beating Frazier in the trilogy which was his stylistic weakness. Norton a similar fighter to Frazier also beat Ali to further the point it was his stylistic weakness, but he still overcame it unlike anyone before him or after in the heavyweight division, and also for beating Sonny Liston who was known to be invincible during his era. Cleaning the division defeating 8/10 top ranked contenders, and the other 2 avoided him like the plague. Ali was in his prime in the 60s anyway not 70s. He was sloppy later on
@@lodxmas Lmao imagine what FURY could do to little foreman 🤣 dude was a walking punching bag no technic too slow no head movement no speed never put his hands up terrible and biased fanboys call em "greats" 🤡 for what? for beating unknown ancients 180 lbs heavyweights 🤣
What I really respect about comeback Foreman was just how much more patient and calm he became as a person. 70s Foreman was an angry and troubled man. He had nightmares after his loss to Ali and wanted to end it all. But you can see multiple times here that when Foreman knew a guy was finished, he didn’t throw a single extra punch, just like Ali when he knocked Foreman out. How many other fighters have that much restraint and respect? Man, could you even imagine a Foreman with 1970s physique and 1990s ring IQ, mental growth, additional defense (a long leverage guard plus a cross guard) and chin? THAT would be the most unstoppable heavyweight of all time!
Young foreman was a heel kind of figure and so was received by the public and he often got booed. When he came back he was a different man and he got a ton of cheers and in a lot of the old foreman fights you can see a big smile on his face when he gets introduced and cheered on. It's cool to see
PJ Button Hey go dream somewhere else 🤣 dude just said most unstoppable of all time LMAO u wanna tell me this slow walking punching bag no technic too slow no head movement no speed never put his hands up terrible is more unstoppable than FURY? 🤣 Dude got demolished by 19 losess jimmy young yeah very unstoppable 🤡 next time before claiming fals narratives think better
PJ Button Stop dreaming now wake up 🤣 the most unstoppable boxer in history is TYSON FURY who make history record breaking boxers look like amatures like wilder wladimir etc Not this punching bag who beat 180 lbs ancients heavyweight and got demolished by some of em like 19 losess jimmy young 🤣 "most unstoppable" lmao
PJ Button U can't be most unstoppable by getting demolished by 19 losess journeyman jimmy young 🤣 all the attributes u wished foreman to have FURY already have them biggest heavyweight 1 of the fastest despite his size hard hitter can't get ko'ed as we seen when he fought the hardest puncher in boxing history wilder 🥊etc Fury is just a different breed too fast too big greatest chine greatest IQ greatest movement it's like when u make a boxer in a game and put everything 100%
More impressive than his punching power was his chin. I’ll never forget the sight of prime Holyfield unloading 20 punches on Foreman and foreman’s facial expression never changed. I’d never seen anything like it. Foreman was a monster.
@Pisces Mystic that doesn't take away from Foreman, if anything that should only raise Stewart's stock that he could shake Foreman more than the likes of Holyfield, Briggs, and Morrison.
@@30over3 And Foreman just kept coming mangled gore face and all. Reminds me of Marciano vs Charles where his nose was split in half hanging off and he refused to quit.
@Pisces Mystic there was rumours that Alex Stewart had something in his gloves, never proved of course but you think he punches harder the Holyfield or Moorer? You absolute turnip.
@@RikkyNelihan Exactly. Stewart was a decent puncher, but not of the calibre of other heavy punchers that he faced. And his face never mangled up like that.
George was feared in his prime but not beloved and appreciated, always in the shadow of Ali and it made him frustrated and unhappy. When Old George arrived he was cheered and loved, all the fighters wanted him because he became the money fight. He was smiling and beeming through it, doing publicity, appearing in shows. The public showed him proper love and at last he was truly happy.
He knew how to pace his offense more more efficiently too. He was not interested in ever getting rope-a-doped again. He also seemed to do better angular work
@@miguelguzman4552do you not understand how physics works? He was significantly heavier and still had good technique, thus he would undoubtedly hit harder. Only pseudo intellectuals would argue otherwise.
You can see the shock in his opponents when his heavy blows landed on them. Their minds were scrambling to figure out, "what the hell did I just get bludgeoned with and what is happening to me? Should I quit?"
Dwight Muhammad Qawi quit because he "saw death". Evander Holyfield had to ask his corner if Foreman had knocked all his teeth out. Shannon Briggs said his vision went black and white from pain and he felt where he had been punched for weeks afterword. Foreman was a different beast as far as power goes.
The music selection is really underrated hanza, those plodding beats help demonstrate how powerful and magnificent this lumbering colossus of a fighter was!
Man, Old George Foreman did the cross crab defense like his rival Ken Norton and he still had that knockout power along with his iron chin and more patient that impressed him. Comeback Foreman didn't suffered a knockdown even though he was staggered several times since his prime years being knocked out by Ali and knocked down by both Ron Lyle and Jimmy Young.
Young George Foreman was dangerous because he made every fight personal. Mature Big George was even more dangerous because it was just business and opponents were standing in the way of his paycheck.
He might've been past his prime physically, but at this stage his ring IQ and generalship was second to no one. Add that legendary punching power to that ring IQ, plus the character and commitment he had, makes him one of the best heavyweights of all time, even past his physical prime.
Young George in his prime was an angry man that's why he lost fights not due to his boxing ability but due to his thinking if you could put a young George foreman body with an old George Foreman's brain he would have been unbeatable
This is that 40-50 yr old old people strength people be talking about. It exists, trust me. They may not be as fast as they used to be but if they crack you, you going to sleep. Their strength is like a broken bone that’s been ossified and fortified😂😂
One aspect of Old George that strikes me is his measuredness - so many KOs where you can see he stops and holds back the 2-3 extra punches that the Young George would've thrown. Maybe sounds corny but I feel it's George honouring Ali by not throwing the unnecessary blows once the man is already going down.
He is clear example of how God provides you when you are completely commited and devoted to him. Definitely God has his plans which are not understandable to a man..
Old George Foreman reminds me of the Terminator. Inelegant, but unrelenting. He was seemingly the opposite of his former persona as a vicious intimidator, projecting the image of a kindly old preacher who played on commercials and boxed as a sideshow -- but his opponents were shocked and intimidated nonetheless when they felt his crushing power; he was still just as dangerous as before, and he let them think otherwise until it was too late. A few saw through his facade, like Tommy Morrison who out together a smart plan to take him to victory against Foreman, and Mike Tyson -- who reportedly refused to fight Foreman and called him a 'fucking animal' behind closed doors. I have little doubt that if Tyson hadn't lost to Douglas, and Foreman faced Tyson for his first title shot instead of Holyfield, then Foreman would have smoked Iron Mike in the early rounds, just like he promised.
Actually no, Ofcourse old forman was good and patient boxer like sonny liston but his lacking of speed was his so big obstacle for him. My opinion his prime (young) time was better, however If he combinated his old and prime time he would be another level. No one cannot challenge to time like him.
@@downtownsportsanatomy1631 who can catch the Prime fraizer even ali found lot of problems with fraizer Style , he was so fast and so dangerous. when someone think that prime Foreman was a slow fighter its mean that he know nothing about boxing. prime George was much better than old George but in 90's he still so strong for others without stamina, his speed and his press attack. u need a great fighter like Ali with fake ropes ,trashtalking with the hate of Zair and very bad George to KO Prime George and it will be like in loto one time in ur life thats why ali never want a rematch with that beast. Prime George was a steamroller not a fighter who exchange punchs with others ,it doesnt matter who u re u will be dominated to the death . this man destroyd 67men in 81 fights the record of boxing history and people said he was not fast and prime george was stupid LOOOOOOOOOL

Tyson if u mean little Mike he can be fast only against retired or annonym fighters for few seconds 10 or 20 each round max that style doesnt work against top fighters in their prime . fraizer is a machine he can moves all 12 rounds with the same intensity, its so difficult and so dangerous to fight with him. one day they bring to george 5 fighters he Ko all of them in one night with 5 different style of boxing , George is a God in boxing full skills devastating fast jabs , a top in-fighter ,a top out-fighter , he combinate very fast his punchs ,perfect cardio stamina he can press all time, he can use lot of defense skills , a perfect manipulator he can took u with both hands like a heavy bag and change ur position then push u hit u then took u to the corner hit u again then to the center and finish u . he see other fighters like heavybags and they saw him as a boogeyman he was an Alpha in the ring , never a fighter shared the ring with him only Ron lyle was so brave and tried to start with intensity and attack George but unfortunly for him he finish in Coma. for others there's only two option ropes and wait for a miracle counter that will never happen or just pray God that u will not be destroyed by a brutal KO because there no the option of 12 rounds with prime George foreman, if someone did more than 5 rounds against prime geroge be sure that he's a legend in boxing
@@theslash9210jimmy young was a bum unfortunately George didn’t learn from hot Africa and repeated history. He flew into puerto rico the night before the young fight, didn’t train in that heat/humidity and punched himself out. Then again that’s when the second and more impressive half of his life began so maybe god really did have a plan for him all along…
He was at his best then. Stronger mentally, physically and had better defense. He proved that time off from competing and training for several years or just starting late and not having the years of wear and tear someone would had if they had bee competing and training up until then.
Smirking LMAO that walking slow punching bag is slick? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 then what can we say about someone like FURY who is SUPERIOR to foreman in every aspect? @@deleting.chanel FURY is far SUPERIOR than foreman or any heavyweight in history too big too fast great skills great chine great head movement IQ reach POWER etc so whats your point?
Archie Moore's teachings really paid off for old George. That cross arm guard was a great way to deflect damage for man whose reflexes had slowed considerably.

Foreman at 45 would beat most modern heavyweights in the division today. (2023) A prime Foreman today would be world champion easily. The journey from a hated, surly, angry young man to a much loved grandfather of boxing has been great to see. George is a genuine legend.
Maybe your best one yet! George looks so monstrous here and yet... oddly heroic. Adding that 5 sec bit with George walking in the woods, at peace, was a nice touch.
Stevenmisty In that era where he fought 180 ancients heavyweights mostly? probably but in today's era u put him in ring with someone like FURY who is far superior it wouldnt end up good for foreman 🤣 he wouldn't survive 1 round with FURY FURY too big too fast hit harder great iq mismatched reach greatest headmovement FURY rarly get hit foreman was a walking punching bag ffs 🤣 he got demolished by 19 losess jimmy young 💀
@@smackingnoobsonfriday134 I like Tyson fury but let’s be real his best victories are over wilder who is an amateur with heavy hands. Don’t just believe me look at wilders resume he literally never fought anyone of any note just tomato cans. Fury has done the best with what this era offers but foreman came from the greatest era. And he hits like a freight train with finesse behind him not wilders wild technique feet crossed BS. Sorry man fury doesn’t have the experience. Also like the other guy said fury is now ducking uysk because he knows that man is too technical. 😂
What people overlook about George, especially past his prime is that his punches were so ACCURATE and precise. That walking uppercut against Gerry Cooney is, in my opinion, one of the best punches ever captured on film.
Old Foreman beat Gerry Cooney,Dwight Qawi,Micheal Moorer,Shannon Briggs,Savarase,Alex Stewart,Pierre Coetzer,Bert Cooper...And He schools Evander Holyfield.He becomes lineal heavyweight champion in 45 years old.What a Legend.
I can't lift my ass up for training if I miss 2 months of exercise..mostly during monsoons How the hell does a man retire for 10 years and come back stronger in a sport where most guys retire by 40 is beyond me!
One of the most unreal fighters in history. Granite chin, unbelievable determination and unfathomable punching power. The walk off KO's are brutal. Truly one of the greatest to ever box. This is also a testament to how unbelievably durable Holyfield was. To stand toe to toe with Foreman... A mad man.
I think foreman is underrated I think he's one of the more complete fighters I mean if you want to build a fighter from some kind of factory That's probably one of the blueprints you would use. There are several fights where that man just took a beating and still just kept throwing those hellacious clubbing tree trunk blows. If you haven't been lucky enough to see the RU-vid video where Foreman's beating the heavy bag and the dude behind it is hurting just holding it it's something to watch. I mean it's a full size heavy bag foreman is folding it in half with his punches and the dude behind it is still hurting. In boxing sense during his comeback campaign he was lucky to get the fights he got because none of those young guys wanted to risk fighting him. I don't know if y'all remember there is a while there where Foreman couldn't even book a fight as nobody wanted that. including Tyson.
I would’ve rather been in the ring with the younger foreman depending on the day tbh. Cause i feel like old foreman definitely hit harder with that old brute strength that most people get in their 40s and 50s
Can you imagine getting in the Ring thinking this Guy's to Big,Fat and Old to Box then he Hits you with one of those Bombs then you get your Teeth Knocked out😊
I never understood why some people could punch harder than others yet they're in the same weight class and maybe even less explosive. Like I'm not talking about just some normal punchers like canelo or something but more so about Foreman, GGG or Wilder. It seems like they just throw their hand out there and people just go to sleep. I wonder if it's something to do just do with genetics or maybe they naturally have thicker and denser bone structure?
It's a combination of everything you just said and technique. Some people are just natural punchers, you can develop power but you can't necessarily ever have that devastating type of punch like the elite power punchers have.
That’s cause during their first fight there was a lot of shady stuff that went down. And Ali knew he couldn’t beat George Foreman twice without “help”.
@@bossplayermfs5972 No, Ali won the Rumble in the Jungle fair and Square. Foreman lost the fight that would have given him a title shot and then retired. But yes, I think if Foreman had beat Jimmy Young and gotten his second crack at Ali he would have won; Ali was fading fast by the late 70's and another war with Foreman would have gone very badly for him.
@@hansm.henrich2140 Big George Foreman said that he drinking water before the fight had medicine in it. Go watch the video here on RU-vid called “Rumble In The Jungle Fixed?” Here it from Big George Foreman himself.

If Big George Foreman had some boxing skills, instead of a slugger he would have probably been the greatest heavyweight boxer of all times but he’s still in my top five.
Foreman in his Prime would have easily destroyed Holyfield, Tyson, Lennox , You keep naming them Foreman would have destroyed them all- Love prime George foreman he was Aggressive , Tough , and very intimidating
Old Big George is my favorite boxer in and out of the ring. He got wiser after he retired. He also got tougher and stronger. Holyfield had to ask his cornerman if he'd lost a tooth after getting hit by George's right. Getting hit by him gave people an out of body experience. Thanks for the great tribute video!
What a Legend! Impressive fighter on his comeback, his punches were fast but without seeing so... It was incredibly smart and definitely my favourite boxer in history 💪🏆🥊
I prefer watching old Foreman to the young one. The old Foreman was all about timing and intelligence of setting up his KOs. I am sure he manipulated his opponents to walk in to his ko punches, like with Moorer, who appeared to be too slow to defend against Foreman's one-two. But believe me, this isn't about speed, Foreman knew when to strike it, at the split second when Moorer was the most vulnerable, he might had seen these punches coming but no way he could defend them
