I’m glad your bringing to light the 5th old god, I will say, had you shown the photo from chronicle book 3 in this video, the fact that the same faced old god hides in the upper right within roots/vines only confirms to me that there is a old god hiding beneath Kaz’Algar. Also… the trade shop is all kraken related in a lot of its items this month, and I’ve mentioned in a few comments now, the dreadwake mount, is a gift from a kraken faced old god, it has a kraken on the front and on the back flap of the mount, you can see a skull with tentacles surrounding it in the same depiction as the murel has. Lastly, I’m glad you mentioned the deception with Magni and the sword of sargaras. I firmly believe that Gorribal the dark seether (the rpg name of the sword currently stuck in Azeroth) was plunged into Azeroth roots… the same roots that the old gods have themselves so intrinsically tied too. Gorribal, you have to break down its meaning, seether means to boil essentially, so Gorribal was boiling the darkness within the planet, the sword is poison to the old gods/void/shadow. If we are to believe the old gods are inspired by lovecraftian, and this old god resembles Cthylla. Of all of the old gods currently known, they are all voiced by male counterparts… cthylla by design is a daughter of the old god Cthulhu. I’m a firm believer that Cthylla, also known as The Kraken or The Secret One, this new 5th old god is the one who spoke to Magni, and convinced him and us, that the sword was hurting the planet, when instead it was hurting the old gods and their old blood. The radiant song was heard on Karesh… this same radiant song… the heroes in the cinematic and through out the war within are not hearing Azeroth, but rather the 5th old god. She, is ancient and she and the other old gods and void lords have planned for this eventually coming true, and now we are on the precipice of seeing all of their plans and their plans, plans come to light. Remember… the old gods win, even when they fail, it’s all according to their plans.

I like the idea that with each patch we go deeper and deeper into the centre of the world.

A little something to go with the old gods, They are named after lovecraftian beings, Cthulu, Yogsathoth. And their sleeping and most powerful one being one named Azothoth, similar to the name of our world, Azeroth.

Would be cool if they added a super deep zone of pure darkness in an homage to Tolkien's work. Gandalf stating that in the depths of Middle Earth there are creatures of great power and horror that have existed since its creation.

What's the point of a 5th old god when its already been confirmed that they're just flying snot smeared on planets from void lords? It kind of diminishes them as antagonists.

Is it possible Azeroth transitions periodically through fazes of light and void? I mean there was a time when the old gods reigned and now we’re in a period of light about to transition to void again. Maybe why the giant crystal is phasing to void? It’s a balance, a natural cycle.. Azeroth isn’t supposed to wake because either light or void win it’s a huge imbalance no matter who wins or loses.

So Much Obsession for The Old Gods. I prefer the Burning Legion. They were more effective as a villains. The Burning Legion leaved a huge scar on Azeroth and the entire Universe. The Old Gods are treat like a little threat while the Burning Legion are treat like a threat that even villains will team up with the heroes to deal with them, or they just make Peace With God. The Burning Legion is treating it like Marvel's Galactus is treating it. Galactus is just a big threat that everyone will accept their fate, making a last stand, or making Peace With God when Galactus sets his sights on your world.

I believe the Old Gods are all the same entity.

I feel quite sad to realize the WoW Lore doesn't click anymore for me... I don't know when, maybe on Battle for Azeroth or maybe Shadowlands, i lost the spark for this game's history and the lore now feels so uninsteresting, i have no sense of wonder anymore with it's World. I still enjoy the gameplay tho, and keep playing it from time to time but yeah... it's a shame i can't grasp the feeling i loved so much in this game when delving in the stories of some characters and places. Most games that i enjoy still do give me that feeling, so maybe WoW just changed a lot, and so did i.

Honestly without the Old Gods the Void is bland as fuck. Like Dimensius oh a giant Voidwalker so fucking scary.

2 things.... first, there was a leak last year with a phone pic of a cinematic about a MASSIVE octopus looking old god coming out of the water and so many people said it was AI art and it very much could be, but it just looked like a typical Blizz cinematic. Maybe that really was a leak. I tried to look for it, but it might have been taken down? Secondly, you might be onto something with them joining as one. It could make sense because why would we have the option to side with him and get that toy which puts his eye on our head. Maybe his plan really was for us to "kill him" so his blood could merge and he could truly be released onto azeroth. I dunno, but it could make sense why he was the way he was in BFA. He was always the old god that was a thinker.
