this is one of my favourite paddles to do along the dorset coast so i figured, hey! why not take you along with me! ... hope you enjoy watching :)
here's some general info if you're interesting in paddling to old harry yourself:
i prefer to launch from knoll beach (it's a national trust car park just fyi but that does mean that there are toilets and a cafe so it's a nice spot for a post paddle drink etc)
it's not a paddle i'd advise doing for the first time on your own, unless you're a well experienced sea paddler, as there are some strong currents that shoot past old harry and depending on the tide, they can easily catch you out - so please take care!
i usually get asked if low or hide tide is best and to be honest, it doesn't really matter. at low tide you'll be able to get off your board and wander about on the rocks but at high tide you'll be able to paddle through some of the arches so i guess it depends on what you want to get from your visit :)
one final thing - i'll always recommend you wear a buoyancy aid or pfd (personal floatation device), and carry a means of communication with you (phone) in a waterproof pouch and watch out for boat traffic/jetski's because in the summer the bay can be chocker!

if you want to see more videos from me then let me know, i'm still learning so one day you might eventually sit down to enjoy some blockbuster worthy footage (but i'm making no promises! haha) ... alternatively you can find me on instagram @magic_beans where i share paddleboarding tips, daily moments from the water & a lot more ramblings...
