Awesome video, really enjoying the narration and how you break down the run. I'm originally from South Africa and spent 13 years in the UK. As a surfer and living in London then Southampton and Portsmouth etc. I got into kite surfing to keep my connection with the ocean as it's pretty fickle surf wise, but I always saw heaps of wind bumps and imagined what the opportunities could be. Now in New Zealand for past 14 years and Downwind foiling it's awesome following along with you at some of my old stomping grounds. How are you finding the downwind quality, I really believe the UK south coast should be a gold mine especially with all the wind against tide spots in and around the Solent
Hey thanks for the message 🙏 Cool that you’re enjoying following along from afar! Yeah 100% I think there are so many different routes around waiting to be foiled. I’ve loved the few Solent runs I’ve done. There’s potential for some BIG downwind runs once I have a bit more confidence!
Haha my personal opinion is that it’s cheating and completing the run would be way less satisfying. I can understand how it would be a good stepping stone for some though…
