It was track he let loose on in the booth to let out his anger bout her cheating & hooking up with that other dude. The backstory, from different interviews etc. Is that she went to the concert with freinds & he told her that he wasn't going to do the track at that show. He did it & she went home and slit her wrists that night. Then he stopped performing the song at concerts. Very dark to say the least.. What's your opinion on Jay saying no1 can stand on stage and face him in a versus? I've never really been that big a fan of Jay's. Got no hate & respect him as an artist & impact on the genre and culture. I just never really felt him that way. I was around 20 when he dropped & was much more of a fan of Nas, Wutang, Redmam, DMX, Busta, Outkast, Jada, Juvenile, around that time period. This was prior to Em really hitting me with MMLP ... My favorite Jay track is still probably Big pimpin' & thats not even because of his part.. It's from the line.." I'm a 24 yr old Pussy fien & freakaholic ".. cause I was 24 when it dropped, in the Air Force & in my prime clubbing days...lol. I think that would be an epic Versus but I also think it's kinda of cop out by Jay to say that since he's not gonna do a versus to begin with, so is that the excuse he'd use to not do 1??? My hope is that Em being Em, he'll respond to it in at least a subtle way. Lol. (Hell, I'd hope anyone on that upper tier would take it as a shot at them. Since he basically said he'd wash anyone. So if you consider yourself an MC, then you better take that ish personal. Umbrella has about 750 mill & Love the Way you lie has over 2 billion. Beyonce is on like 3 or 4 of them. We all know Ems competitiveness and that he's been asking for all the smoke, even more so with Kamikaze & Music to be Murdered by. Unlike Jay, I don't think Em gives an Eff. I don't think he's concerned about losing or how it would effect his status. Em is, for the most part, always humble af in interviews etc. On wax is where he calls for the smoke. That's why it seems like a cop out or just very un Jay like. And Idgof what anyone says, I think Em would wash Jay in versus. What is Jay better at them Em? It would be a huge ppv event. But, like 50 said, Em can't be moved by money. And Jay's a billionaire so not like a huge payout is worth it to him. @@RawAndUncut7414 I'm cool with that fam. Like I said, I got no hate for Jay. I got him more in a vibe category for me, kinda like Snoop. I like his flows & its good ish to bump in the ride. My personal rankings, for me he's in my top 20, not top 10. Then again I'm an old head, I still have Cube & Scarface in my top 5, with Em, 3 stacks & Wutang (idgof if they are a group, my list. Lol..) then cats like Nas, Big, Pac, Redman, Jada would round out my top 10. Honorable mentions to DMX, Busta, Kurupt, Mobb Deep, Rakim, 8 ball & mjg... lol. Damn lists are tough.
