Wonderful memories as I grew up in that period of Irish life,thank you for sharing, it's hard to believe how Ireland has developed since then.Very nostalgic .

my mum was from Sligo, her name was catherine devins, from Drumcliffe, beautiful memories.

i just discovered this. Myles my gr uncle, his oldest brother PAT, my grandpa. I live in OHIO. Thanks!!!!!!!!! In the 70's i helped Michael with the hay, the baby brother of MYLES.

Hi I lived in Gleann as a child for a while in the 70’s. My stepfathers surname was Leydon. He would have been around 9/10 at the time this video I think. I remember the cottage being near the school. His eldest sister was called Mary she married & moved into the town. I stayed with her,fond memories.

This is my extended Family. I very well recognize Gr Uncle Mike. I helped him with the hay, there in Sligo

Michael Coen, the short old man in this picture who lived there into the 1970's died this day May 19, 1977 I SURE WISH I COULD CONNECT WITH VINCENT WHO GOT THIS FILM ON UTUBE. Myles is also my gr uncle

My great uncle was mayor of Sligo 1942 ish Jack Gallagher his parents had the funeral parlour
