I bought a very old jointer and restored it. Sometimes dealing with an old piece of equipment can be challenging. But result might be rewarding!

That is a very impressive restoration of a machine that seems to have been left for dead. Where I come from, we always say, "They don't build them like they used to." Your persistence may have provided you with a solid machine that will work to your benefit for decades. The green paint is perfect, and assuming the cast iron surface is clear and flat, you'll have the bragging rights and a story to tell. It isn't perfect, but it's a very nice machine, and it has personality. Clearly that was a lot more work than your video could explain. Congratulations!

HI Jonas. That's a really solid machine, it should produce a good finish. Enjoyed the restoration, those old blades were atrocious you did the tight thing buying a new set. Looking forward to some machining videos. Tony

Thanks, Tony! Actually it's really hard to adjust the blades - when it seems they're just about right height, I tighten the bolts and their height slightly changes :) Nevertheless, results are quite good, and when I will dial in those blades even better, I will be more than happy with this machine!

@@jonasvaleisa Are the bottom of the tightening bolts in good condition and the threads? Try swopping the bolts around. It's very frustrating when the blades keep moving when you tighten them up.

@@tonyworkswood That's a good point - those bolts were really rusty and old. It would probably be a good idea to replace them all together.

Yes, I do have 3 phase. Not sure if I will have any more tools that need 3 phase, but it’s still a bit more future proof than 1 phase.

Hey! It’s holding well, no issues so far. Regarding getting parts - I think only used ones are possible to get. But I don’t think it will need any anytime soon :)
