@@louiseechoes I'm a Kat Main ever since Season 3. I used to hate Riot for reworking her but she's main so I mastered it again and she's probably one of the most OP Midlaners that can 1v9 if she gets fed early and know how to snowball the lead. The Old One is actually brain dead you just Q E W then Ult then repeat after getting a kill. The new one on the other hand is a lot more complex I usually do E to the Creeps near the enemy then gunblade then Drop W then Q to the enemy then jump to the dagger behind the enemy then ult. Or Just Q E W R Method and back out with e.

If you played in high elo as old Kata you needed skill. Perfect Q-E-W rotations in TF while your passive constantly refreshes CD, of course it requires skill. In higher ELO especially. Old Kata was fun as hell to play. Other than that, she was pretty easy, I agree. But perfection still took time if you wanted to be a crazy Kata player. Old one > New one

Old Katarina is more like an all in assasin which made her very vulnerable in laning phase. Its also harder to chase a target cuz back then you have no way to reset your Shunpo unless you kill someone. New Katarina is definitely more stable and flexible for her since you have multiple way to chase, retreat and W+E through thin wall. But yeah, Its take like more 0.75 second to kill cuz the delay of the new W.

The old version of a reworked champion is always the much better one, believe me this is a rule in Lol. We have a lot of examples tho: ryze, fiora, katarina, talon, zac, leblanc, xin zhao.....

Every of the champs you listed there the new one is a lot better because after there reworked their were actually played, most of them even in Proscene. Old Kat wasnt played whole s6 and s5 in Lcs, Old Talon was like never play in Proscene and SoloQ the new one has way more players in Soloq and like always good winrates on top and mid. Ryze old and new arent played in SoloQ but both really good in Proscene. The new LeBlanc was good in Lcs like the whole s7. And the best example in Xin Zhao no one played him in SoloQ and Lcs and now he has found a pretty good spot in both and is just a way better Champ.

New kata is so much better, so much more play potential and higher skill floor. You actually need a brain to play her at high elo.

I agree, new Kata is so much more interesting and fun, one of the best reworks Riot ever done. People in comments are only complaining coz they dont know how to play and dont want to learn to play new Kata, but Kata deserves to be ab extremely hard champion
