@@halfdemon4lifeintime I said those things because the home owner said something about not using anything but water because the cleaners they wanted to use weren't natural, so I mentioned these things because they're natural and would certainly be better than just plain water, I've used the vinegar to clean windows and to kill the smell of pet urine on my rugs, and baking soda and lemon juice to help clean litter boxes and trash cans, and they've all worked wonders for me, but in a commercial setting I wouldn't, you're right, there's certain rules you have to follow and these things wouldn't be the right things to use in that case.

I live in an apartment with a carpeted kitchen and bathroom so no matter what I do (dehumidifier, air purifier, etc.) there's constantly at least some mold. Since the smell of bleach makes me sick, I use straight vinegar for it and it works really well. That being said I've worked in professional kitchens and we wouldn't be allowed to do that. But stuff like that is surprisingly effective. I've also used baking soda to clean the carpets and a baking soda/water mixture to remove stains from white stuff or soak dirty stuff overnight.

Sam Boots I believe the show is supposed to be like shock therapy for them they have to come into a home that’s not taken care of in one area usually the second floor and sleep/eat there and clean the next day. It’s not setup to make fun of their disorder but if people laugh at the shocking scenes then that’s them. I usually just feel disgusted by the mess and happy at the outcome of the areas afterward.

People on the middle ages were very clean, they bathed daily, kept their clothes clean, washed face and hands before eating, cleaned their house, etcetera. People were dirtier on 18/19 centuries than people on the whole middle ages and previous!!! Also, old witches were clean and knew about medicine too

I love how advanced our society beocmes when talking about disorders. My parents would always talk down on people with depression or OCD, when there was an opportunity, because it doesn't make sense to them. I suffer from anxieties myself and I gotta remind myself everyday that it's not me being stupid or too sensitive, it's a real disorder that needs certain attention to deal with it.

Its a sensitivity to the chemicals in the cleaners, a lot of my family had it. We couldnt wear scented lotions or a lot of hair spray and damn sure no purfume. They didnt gripe about cleaners because they knew the house needed cleaning. They would just go outside or go somewhere else when we cleaned lol

@@MrPaxio no because I haven't been around perfumes or scented lotions or like air fresheners, when u smell it, it is Soo strong that immediately u get a pounding headache, like u have to get up and go to the other side of the room from the person. As long as it is like one little spray of something I'm alright, but if the person took a bath in it, dear God I can't handle it either lol

This show, in its first season was meant to be like immersion therapy for the OCD cleaners. They explain in the first episodes, the people with OCD let it rule their lives in their own homes where they’re cleaning constantly to their detriment. The show at that time was about teaching them that things can be clean without cleaning them over and over again with harsh chemicals. They were given tasks to clean certain objects and then they would do tests on the objects to prove to them that they were clean. It has since devolved into classic reality TV as a mix of like Hoarders and something else nefarious.

One of my biggest gripes with vampire stories is that they never simply wore chain mail or (if modern setting) Kevlar to easily protect themselves from wooden stakes... I think she figured that one out for herself 😂

Cool idea, although I don't think Kevlar would block a stake, lol, I think it's designed for high impact prevention, like bullets (the fibers tense up on impact). Something slower, like a knife, or a stake, would most likely go through. But I agree, modern vampires should really be armoring up, lmao.

@@crazychris1123 the premise is to try and help hoarders and those with ocd by 1) exposure for the people suffering from ocd to be put into the extreme to show them that it’s okay to be in a normal environment and as a form of shock therapy and 2) it’s supposed to help the hoarders by helping them when there overwhelmed and to see the reaction of the people with ocd because often hoarders don’t realise just how bad it is, however often the hoarders don’t participate and the people with OCD end up cleaning their house and are the only ones participating

@@crazychris1123 also, i'd like to add that many people enter careers where they sort of have to "face their fears", and for someone with OCD, helping people out like this and using their organisational skills could actually be quite enjoyable. Using "disorders" to your advantage, sort of akin to people with ADHD entering creative fields because of their wild imaginations, or women and men who've experienced childhood trauma growing into careers in clinical psychology (therapy).

Also hair shouldn't be washed everyday. It strips the scalp of natural oils. This causes the scalp to start over producing oil causing irritation and greasy roots/hair which makes it tempting to wash it more. This is a vicious circle!

Yes thats the point of the show They bring compulsive cleaners to extremely dirty places and then they clean thrm eg. Ome time they had to clean a frat boys shared kitchen, and boy it was DIRTY dirty, they made it kind of a competition ... 2 compulsive cleaners, each gets one part of the kitchen and afterwards their countertops got tested with one of these devices that measure the amount of bacteria on a surface How that is supposed to actually help the compulsive cleaners is beyond me... especially when they made it a literal competition who gets it cleaner in that episode ^^' Like.. the CCs usually say something like "Being here, I see people can live in dirt, and it eases my anxiety a little" But like... the 2 we see in this 'castle' episode say that everytime and are on like 5 episodes each time equally disgusted xD
