Billy thanks for bringing back so many memories with the mac d44 . When I was a liitle boy 6 thru14 my dad would take me with him to get fire wood and My job was to carry a back board which held 4 gal of fuel 32 to1 plus two spark plugs and a sparkplug wrench and two quarts of chain oil I was in hog heaven in my 12th summer I was the fuel carrier for my dad and his falling partner during fire season in northern California. when you fired up that mac it made my heart soar with memories thabks so so much
That 44 sure is a sweetheart!!! She runs good for sure!! That saw has a look all of it’s own and you can’t help but love it! Thank you again William!! Love to you and the family❤️
These videos of the old saws are the best👍right up there with ax videos, falling videos, filing videos, splitting videos... They’re all great Buckin! Not to mention the joy of being part of the Buckin’ Army’!
And to think that saw was produced in 1958, that really shows you how far ahead McCulloch was at that time. The D44 was revolutionary, the S44A was one of the hottest selling saws in the late 50's and early 60's. I love these types of videos! If you need help with pulling apart that 125 just holler!
Hi Buckin’. Hi All. Great to see the ol’ girl running, these old saws were overbuilt for there time!. Thanks to William for sending it your way. Have a great week everyone.
Love to see someone get as much joy making something work as I do! I work at a small engine repair shop and just love being able to bless people with my God given gift. Keep up the good content and everyone love your neighbors!
I thought for a minute there it was gonna be a cliffhanger & we wouldn't see it cut, Phew!. Love that thing its massive & that idle sound of music, good show bandana Buckin & thanks again William, shine on friends 💪❤️👍
That is ABSOLUTELY awesome. Listen to that baby pull. Nice job Bucking that was nice. Success has its own sensation and it always feels wonderful. Hope everyone is having a bright day. Stay kind folks.
You did it, Billy! You wade in a rookie and in the end, tighten it down an expert! That's how it goes. A 44 Super "A" that starts easy and cuts straight. Nice. Congrats!
I always end up missing most of the videos because of reading the comments. You people are incredible, the kindness and love that this community has can’t even be put in words. I know that for me personally it has changed my life forever. Keep going with the power we have the hate in this world doesn’t stand a chance. Love to you all. By the way Buckin, that 44 ain’t to bad either 😂
Patrick Fletcher you gotta get outa this habit Patrick we can't have you missing out on the video lol, the comments will still be there when it's finished😀, love this comment your words nailed it buddy I have become a better & more productive person through Buckins energy alone & my mind boggles at the future of the channel, don't underestimate the might of a small group of like minded people & I mean that internally, this channel is morphing into a league of its own everyone's being helped by helping! The atmospheres incredible in these comments, I've never been a part of any group or society in my 55 years but try taking this away from me & there will be trouble haha! Ive been here since October 2017 & I love it. Sorry for the ramblings, love from Scotland Patrick 💪❤️👍
Nice work Buckin! Get in there and figure it out! Very satisfying feeling. That is a beauty 44 my friend. Peace and love to you and your family and the Buckin' army!
McCullitus 😂😂 There is no cure but you can send it into temporary remission by resurrecting another yellow and black beast. Thanks for the donation William and good job twisting the wrenches Buckin.
Ain't it fun breathing new life into a saw? So rewarding! When I am at my bench I get lost in time! I don't have a clock in my chainsaw room! Only a calendar!
Love it I am building these old saws for emergency 🚨 work . I work for the city of Boston Ma. and use my own McCulloch saw for road clearing large trees, to cutting bucking palettes of shoring for excavation , to cutting blocking for water main pipe.
Very interesting video. It's nice to be able to breath life back into these machines. I hung on your every action. I would get a cheap air impact wrench, very handy for clutch nuts and so on...
Hey Billy: I've been keeping some of the old Macs going for years. Have several different sizes. They really did us a favor when so many parts are interchangeable. Thanks so much for your posts, have loved them all. I'll be watching for the next one.
Thank you, Buckin', for your great content and your wonderful outlook on life in general. I would probably watch a video of you mixing your gas and oil!
Buckin love your videos man! I went to an auction about a year ago and picked up a pro Mac 850 for 30$ so old and heavy no one wanted it.. but I could tell it was a well made machine, no plastic, full wrap metal handle, just had something about it that made me want to get it running and see it cut ...boy do I love that saw and it led me to you and your great videos so it's even better. Your right, now all I want are old saws to fix and make cut good again especially old yellow ones;) mccoulloch was definitely good at what he did too bad they don't make em like that anymore. It's such a full filling thing to take something old or "junk" and give it new life again especially when they still cut as good as new saws.. when sharp of course. Sorry for the rant been watching for awhile and just wanted to say I love your content and positivity your a good dude and it makes others want to be too. Thanks for all you share!
I found your channel last week and after seeing one video I bought my first chainsaw. It's a 1976 homelite super 2. It's a tiny saw but it has a lot of power for its size and it cuts through sassafras like it's nothing
Bigfoot And Bananaman Welcome along friend you're gonna love it here, that homelites over 40 years old! It amazes me how these things last, greetings from Scotland, look forward to seeing you in the comments 💪❤️👍
Hello buckin and buckin family, thought I'd stop in and show sum love! Hope all is well in everyone's lives! Big thanks too buckin, his family and everyone that's in the channel and everyone that helps keep the channel going and positive!!
Dunno if anyone cares but if you're bored like me during the covid times you can watch all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend for the last weeks =)
Pull the spark plug next time, spin around so piston is at bottom of stroke and pile some rope in the cylinder. Then you can remove clutch or flywheel nuts without beating on anything.
Nicky Walsh You got it Nicky no fakery here bud it is what it is with the old Buckin boy eh & al bet it's not the first time that you yourself have used a screwdriver to remove a spark plug, what? You don't know that trick? Al show ya sometime haha! Just fooling wit ya mate, chin up😬❤️👍
Yeah it's getting kinda busy round here👍. You checked out ironhorse chainsaw channel yet mate it's new with a few short videos about porting 2 strokes & general saw talk he's a smart cookie & makes saws look better inside than outside! Some of the saws Billy's using were his builds, if you've not been there then go bud it's right up your street 👍
that would be a good saw for cutting hickory wood just think of the old timers cutting with saws like that not fast but steady they used to keep a bucket of oil net to the tree and dip the bar in for oil i was broke in on these old saws i guess that is why i lost the low tones in my hearing keep up the good work and love each other
