I worked in the Middle East as a European expat for 20 years, and there are thousands of them like this. The service is exceptional. You'll often be offered coffee, and in many places, there are TVs for you to space out to. There are some that do pedicures and manicures, and planing off dead sole skin for guys at extra cost. They also often rip out the stray nasal, eyebrow and ear hairs, and they end the haircut with a head massage. They are also often high quality decor places and not cheapo dives. Now and then, if you're tired of home shaving, catch a shave there, and its so close that the wind almost hurts your skin afterwards 😁. Its an experience.

This is beautiful. I began tearing up when he gently patted the gentleman's head after removing the hair from his nostrils. The customer reminds me of my dad who passed away in July of 2021. You can tell this barber loves people and genuinely cares about them. This is a rarity today here in the US. God bless you both.

It’s a great point. Having to engage in meaningless banter about my life with a stranger is not really my goal when I go in for a haircut. I don’t mean any disrespect, but it’s unintentionally disrespectful to ME to assume I want to have these conversations. I have avoided any barbers that have subjected me to it. This was just refreshingly professional in every way.

It’s like a spa treatment for dudes! This was a great video. Someone very professional that takes pride and care in their work! I wish I could find a barber like this in the U.S.A. I remember going to the barber with my Grandad and Dad back in the 70’s and you could get this kind of service everywhere. The straight razor shave is a disappearing form of art! Again Great job!

So I went right back to looking at the video again. There are so many wonderful things about this video. The skill & precision and focus & dedication of the barber, the beautiful photography. I feel like I am right there in the room. I had never seen the black, tar-like gel that went into the ears & nostrils. And of course the beauty of the man in the chair. I’m 66 years old. I still visit the same barber shop I did as a child. The faces have changed over the years but the service is still the same. I’ve had haircuts at “ stylists “ over the years but they pale in comparison to what a real barber does. 👍👍🇨🇦

@@yeahmelonfarmer так везде в парикмахерских моют - сажают спиной к специальной раковине с выемкой под шею, вы откидываете голову назад и вам ее моют. У этого мастера просто нет такой специальной раковины для мытья головы. И вот что еще нетипично - в США клиента в парикмахерской обычно сажают спиной к зеркалу, лицом к телевизору, а здесь он сидел как в СССР или в России, лицом к зеркалу.

I love the subject's RBF but find his smile more enticing. Such a beautiful grin hidden under 80% of a scowl! The guy was 100% me in a barber chair. I wish we had the cheap price of a quality service here in the US, I've spent as much as $47 on a proper "barber" trim without nearly half of the skill/service. Well wishes for both parties.

@@cinemaverite2179 Стригли и ещё как Стригли!!!!!!А,тетки были в женских парикмахерских.У нас работали мужчины.Как они работали!!!!!!Наши мужчины выходили из парикмахерской отдохнувшими,красивыми!!!!!!Наши парикмахеры были люди начитанные,грамотные....Я очень любила ходить с папочкой стричься !!!!!

I’m a Yank (California), but plan on traveling to the UK in the coming year or so as one my first trips in retirement. I am making a point to stop by your shop in Ipswich for a shave and a cut a haircut. Love your content AND watching the transformations of your clients. Great stuff! My man you’ve got some mad skills going on there, and I went to Barber school and I saw guys who was really good at cutting hair, fantastic straight razor skills and I never mastered it, I mean I think if I’d stayed with it long enough, I may have mastered it, but I didn’t stay with it. I did graduate, but I didn’t last in the business, so I went on to do other things, so one of my classmates is still my barber today, and like you he's a great guy and he has other siblings that has barbershops too. So watching you perform that haircut was like taking me back to barber school and to the shops I worked at after graduation, so watching you perform that haircut, I can just imagine watching Michelangelo do one of his great paintings, it was really something to see, so I can't say enough about your skill set that you develop, and I just love watching you do that, you made it look so effortless and I know it isn't, and so I have so much respect for you and your dedication to the service and keeping the practice alive and well. So I am just saying to you, good luck and keep doing what you're doing as I know you’re inspiring the next generation of great barbers. So wishing you much success! God bless! Cheers!🥂

I almost miss getting haircuts.. I've been shaving my own head for a decade now, but seeing the way a good haircut looks on a man, it's amazing when skill is applied. I've gone to a few places to get my beard trimmed and edged and a shave, but I suppose I've not yet found a master, as I'm always more satisfied with my own work. Regardless, amazing job from the barber! Well done!
