yeah Nintendo did not cook when it came to Off the Hook songs besides #47 Onward I made a quick mix and just mashed it on top of this to make it sound nicer "WHO'S POISON???" that's me, but my name scrambled
(NEW MIX IS OUT!!! keeping this out just in case some prefer this over the new one) i added that punchiness vibe w synths, but not to the extent of overdoing it I felt that the new cover lacked drums regardless of the vibe, so I added a bunch of hi-hats and shakers Pearl's verse just needed drums I feel like they missed with not adding dj scratches, so I did In general my cover is just filling in the missing spots it should've had originally ik the reason why it's chill, but they should've made Color Pulse a Day 2 song bc butchering it up did not do it justice Edit - i wanna improve on this even more I did this in like 2-3 hours I wanna add MORE, add more oomf to it, but I feel like this also fits well regardless bc since it's a Day 1 track, I decided to keep it slightly chill and not add TOO much of that hype vibe back
I don't necessarily dislike, it's just underwhelming They're going for a nu disco vibe (which is totally cool!), but the execution was mid So I just added back the old vibes in my mix bc I can't do nu disco 💔
