You're absolutely right. The first look was a bit too much. Loved the second. It didn't look like you were trying too hard. It looked put together, stylish, personal and not over done.
The first one was perfect for Gamines family and Soft Classics. Second one only looks good in Naturals family and Dramatics. So I prefer the first one for me 🤷♀️
As someone who knows nothing about anything, the second outfit looks like something an old money rich person would actually wear while the first looks like a 16-year-old playing dress up.
Hi Lydia, I know you don’t wear too many prints . It is mostly solids and stripes . But if one wants to add a few prints to their wardrobe ,what would be the do’s and don’ts to consider. Would really appreciate your input. P.S : Love your fashion insights ❤️
I actually would love this. I am 30 now so I wanna dress more mature but I love very artistic prints and I wanna incorporate them properly but I think it will probably be to just keep it simple with one print and the rest neutral.
Yes, this is what I do not like about pushing trends. For a person who does not know how to style. They will put all of them together and look a complete mess. Bad Styling makes my eyes hurt! I find keeping styling simple I'd always best!!
I’d love to see how you’d dress for a sub tropical climate! I’m not on social media (technically, only RU-vid), so I’d love to see what’s chic, for MY climate and environment. Any thoughts? And the final look? Perfetto!✨👌🏼 Thanks for any replies! Love & Light from Miami Shores🦚 Stay safe mates✌🏼🌎
If it feels forced, it means you're not dressed for your own essence and body type, so it feels like a costume. Some people would feel totally natural and carry the first outfit well. If you're doing old money as a trend, then yes, the second one might more universally flattering.
What to wear my pearls with?! I suit the white shine especially as getting older but a) they look more gran on me now and b) emails the caricature with my formal shirts…
Please take into account that everyone has different body types. For me, the second style would definitely not work, I would look more balanced and sophisticated in the first look.
I love you Lydia and think you have great style but I absolutely hate the half tucked shirt. I’ll be so glad to see that “trend” thrown into the fashion history waste bin, hopefully never to return.
The first old money outfit aged you. Even though you didn't look old, it looked like you were trying to caver age. Like it was fifty plus vibes.. Very hollywood housewives or something
If your a very short person your not going to wear extra baggy pants slim pants or boot cut only otherwise the look you'll pull off will be overwhelming and you'll appear even shorter, your styling rules don't apply to everone
