I was digging through old VHS tapes and found this clip from i think it was 1998 or 1999. Notice the old Winsock Interface, along with the old browser just called Mosaic (or was it the very old Netscape.) I have no clue where this news clip was from, if you know please tell me. Also the guy demonstrating the Internet visited a pretty interesting newsgroup. And yes for all you geeks out there the sites still exist LOL.

@mikr671 Ah ok, yeah i didnt know which news show carried this.. And yes I remember file transfers existed LONG before the internet really became popular, you had to know which BBSs to dial into, and which ones would transfer via ZMODEM which was really popular at the time (or at least i thought so, so i always downloaded via ZMODEM.)

"88" WTF!?! How old are you? The internet did not have color in 88...If so, very little it was all text! The internet did not get rolling really good about 98 or so.
