The threaded part of the oil filter is removable. The inner diameter will accept a 1/2x28 tap. If you know that size and a common application for it, you have a decent “solvent trap adapter”

These kind of videos usually make me think of the trash 5minutecrafts put out but the sanding board at the beginning is actually pretty smart method.

Place used oil filter in woodstove. At near bottom of burn pile ..hole upward Light stove ..come back tomorrow .will burn for hours .. abracadabra. Nothing left but the metal no grease . No paper .. nothing metal cut up. Now you can make something from it with a pipe nipple they will work as a replacement lawnmower muffler or perhaps make a tiki torch from it both work well

The turning the 1/4" drive bit to use on the socket is REALLY handy. But the oil filter heater and the split bolt thingy ate both super handy. Great job.
@capnbilll2913
@capnbilll2913 2 года назад
That's neat, but how are they plugging a hex bit into a square drive socket?
@kb3svj
@kb3svj 2 года назад
@@capnbilll2913 good point, ot may have a little slop but in a pinch, it's better than nothing. If u look at the vid again, you'll see there was a bit of wobble.

I used a torx head deck screw to remove the rectifier from my alternator. It had two reverse torx head screws holding it on. Same kind of bolt holding the seats down but little bitty.

If you’re going to crimp the wire ends, why not just crimp the 2 wires together?
@MicahFunk
@MicahFunk 2 года назад
Crimping the wire ends only keeps the ends from unraveling. This type of crimp cannot be as strong as a bolt connection.
