Back when California Adventure Park actually had a “California” theme. Now, music gone, Soarin over California changed to Soarin around the World, Hollywood Tower of Terror gone, and Paradise Pier became Pixar Pier

With this old soundtrack, I can easily hear the roller coaster carts and screams in the background. This old park loop will forever hold the atmosphere of Paradise Pier for me, not the new loop that just sounds like mainstreet loop in Disneyland.

Rest in Peace, Paradise...

R.I.P. DCA 1.0. You will be missed. Even though many people didn't like you very much.

This score was a clever idea. The calliope instrumentation married with the Beach Boys and with other Californian surf music was one of the few good decisions made regarding this area of the second park.

Good old classic paradise pier music. Brings back memories when I was young. Even though very few people enjoyed DCA 1.0, it’ll always hold a special place for me... they should kept this music though.

my dad worked at disney my whole childhood so i got to go to the cast preview of DCA before it opened to the public and i remember loving this music and every time we'd go i remember wanting to go to paradise pier just cause the atmosphere and music :) 💕

I prefer this over the new soundtrack. The new one resembles main street. This resembles a classic amusement park. Ya know, the whole carnival vibe. I liked dca better when. It was actually dca. I don't hate the new dca, but with all the new attractions coming in, its more like a second Disneyland park.

i'm so sad they changed this :( i felt like this had more of a California theme than now. going to the park and listening to this loop was always a joy when i was younger

The soundtrack to most of our DCA childhoods. Why couldn't they keep this!? Calliope music IS from the Victorian era! It fits.

I totally miss this! I lived in CA for years & was a pass holder when they opened DCA, anyways THIS is CA Disney style all the way! why change it? they could have progressed instead of the old time they have now. lol

Don't get me wrong, I do like Pixar pier. But it doesn't have the same magic as Paradise did. And this music loop is evidence of that

Instantly hear "Wouldn't It Be Nice" by the Beach Boys and now i dislike pixar pier even more... i love that song but now all it is over there is toy story theme. What a waste, all because they wanted to make their "California" themed park a place for IP's. They should just call this park Hollywood Studios, because thats what its become.
