Wonderful. You did a lot of job with the smudge and burn tool. Very good work. However final result looks pretty much cartoonish. So I suggest apply an Ai face retouch at the end.

I think that's kind of what you will get when so much of the original image is lost. Basically the less actual image there is left the more it will look like a painting. In most cases you can mask it a lot better but in this case the majority of the image had to be painted in.

I thought the same thing. I know the photo is really old and damaged. But i wont bother restoring it seeing that the face itself is damaged. Would look like a complete stranger afterwards
