i grew up in America this video really takes me back to when i was a kid. i remember being 7 or 8 when we got PTV on the dish network, would have been 1999 or 2000. i remember hearing nearly all of these in between reruns of 90s dramas. I was so amazed just being able to turn the tv on and see desi ppl speaking in Urdu/Hindi, since before that would mean putting on a VHS tape of whatever Bolllywood film we had rented that week (i think we owned Hum aapke hain kaun)

Yaar u dont know about Nazia Hasan: She sang Aap Jaisa Koi and India didnt copied it but she sang the song in film Qurbani and received Filmfare for best playback singer and she was just 15 at that time and still is the youngest receptient of this award. One more song you would have heard Boom Boom that was also sang by her. Her album young Tarang with her brother is still the best selling album of subcontinent. She sold 60M records only for DISCO Deewane. Unfortunately she passed away at the young age of 35. I strongly recommend you to watch documentary made on her by Ahmed Haseeb and give a reaction on it pls pls pls
Of course 'Disco Deewaney' and 'Ap Jesa Koi' are Pakistani songs and were sung by Nazia Hassan. She was very famous 90s singer bit unfortunately died in a car accident at very young age. May her soul rest in peace❤️
Yess you guys need to watch more nazia hassan stuff!! She's a gem 💎and yess, bollywood adapted most of her songs and made them more known to the world but she's an icon who deserves to be known! I hope you love her as much as we do lol

Disco Dewane was sung by Nazia Hassan in the bollywood movie also and Rahim shah sang ehle to kabi kabhi ghum as it is a pashto song he sang both pashto & Urdu versions first.. It is a very old song
