I hear you. All these years I have been wishing the two of them can finally be happy together. But that could only really happen if the franchise is ended. Everything going on always drags them apart. The only other Liu Kang and Kitana seen together as a couple and not torn apart by fate are the Revenants in MKX and MK11. But they're evil in that form.

yes and no. you see they aren't there to fight to protect the other timelines, they are there to make sure Shang Tsung doesn't erase theirs. Quan Chi hates Shang Tsung more than he loves Liu Kang. Shao Kahn sees himself as the ONLY one worthy to rule and will do anything to overthrow Shang Tsung. its a alliance of temporary convience.

Kitana and Liu Kang are both titans, keepers of time. Fate and destiny literally bends to their will. And yet, they still cannot achieve what they both long for most. It’s beautifully tragic to have so much power, yet be so powerless. That reunion was beautiful. As titans, they’ve lived for eons, and in one moment rekindle a long forgotten feeling they shared as mortals

The reason why people hate Alternate Universe and time travel events is due to the simple fact it's an easy copout for lazy writing and bad story plots. This is just one of many examples as to WHY they are well travelled story plots. The power of alternate universes and timelines is that it opens up the gate to tell as many stories as one desires, explore different possibilities. The biggest weakness to one's writing and plot is restriction. The more you can keep your options open, the better you can tell a story. Because if you write yourself into a corner with a solid end to a full story, you have only the dreaded Reboot and Legacy Sequel plot options; which never turn out well for community popularity.

The choreography in the cutscenes is perfect. It is in line with the actual strength and abilities of the characters. Such a step up from some of the garbage fights in mk11. Characters here are actually moving quick, evading, hitting hard and using their powers.

Mk9-11 Kitana, Kung Lao and Raiden are my favorites, I missed them so much. If Old Raiden still had his voice from the 3 last games it would've been more epic, but I'm just glad he's back 😄 at least Liu kang and the others still have their voice actors. And I've been waiting so long for Kitana and Liu kang's kiss 😆 this Kitana will always remain his and it explains why he didn't interacted a lot with his new era one which is good, all Mk11 endings are even canon along the Snow blind movie

How would they be able to tell which side the person they were fighting is on during the final battle? Running up the stairs are the good guys, running down are the bad guys, but once they collide, the battle would get a little confusing. Should've gotten matching uniforms lol.

Here's the one issue we learned. When shang was able to get the crown. Lui kang came from his original timeline to the timeline When shang was victorious in getting The Crown. Which means that lui kang is safe from any mix up should his version fail. Meaning that there is a fail-safe.

It's actually the same one from liu kangs original timeline, same as kitana and Raiden. They ascended in timelines where liu kang and shang tsung died and they defeated kronika instead. The great kung Lao never encountered kronika, nor ever defeated her. Mostly because it's alluded kung Lao was the reincarnated great kung lao
