ਸ਼ੁਕਰ ਬਾਬੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਕਿ ਮੈ ਅਸਲ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਸੁਣ ਪਾਇਆ ਜੌ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਜੂਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ । ਪਰ ਅੱਜ ਇਹ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਹੀ ਬਦਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ । ਸਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਫਿਲਮੀ ਤਰਜਾ ਰਹਿ ਗਇਆ ਬਸ।

ਧੰਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤੇ ਕੰਨ ਜੋ ਭਾਈ ਮਰਦਾਨਾ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਕੁਲ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਸ੍ਰਵਣ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ

ਅੱਜ ਕੱਲ ਿਫਲਮੀ ਤਰਜ਼ਾਂ ਤੇ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਇੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਿਵੱਚ ਰੱਖੇ 🙏🏼🇬🇧

True Sikhs owe a great debt to Bhai Mardana and equally to his generations. Sikhs should honour Bhai Lall ji and his Jatha for keeping the gurbani- kirtan singing alive even after 17 generations. They deserve the respect and support of every true minded Sikhs. We should denounce the present day 'mahants' (SGPC, All five Jathedars etc), who do not allow these true followers of Guru Nanak to singh shabads at Darbar Sahib Amritsar. True Sikhism is not in growing long beard or hair.

Sikhs need to bring back these people into their scheme of things. Having distanced them from Sikhisms kirtan maryada and parampara has been one of Sikjhism's biggest loss.

Bhai Lal jee, Guru Nanak's Sikh. Guru Nanak gave him the skill of doing kirtan of hymns from Sri Guru Granth Sahib. inspired kirtan.

Great Great Just great after hearing this, nothing remained to be studied about "Gobind milan ki ye baria" and reality of our life. for the first time I realised how much time i wasted in my life and so much wrong we do often. i really want to be with God without being wasted a second. Tears rolled i was thrilled and deeply concentrated till the shabad finished. this kirtan leads me to Samadhi. Some ridiculous comments here on the subject of who can and who cannot perform Kirtan in Maharajs presence. Bhai Lal ji is Muslim. Mardana was Muslim. A huge proportion of Kirtanyas up to circa 1920 were Muslim. The foundation stone of Sri Darbar Sahib in Amritsar was laid by a Sufi Muslim at the request of Guru Arian Dev. THE WRITINGS OF A MUSLIM ARE PRESENT IN GURU GRANTH SAHIB MAHARAJ !!! DO YOU THINK SHEIKH FARID WAS SIKH???? Anyone - male, female, Hindu, Sikh, Muslim or anything else has the right to do kirtan. The rehat maryada states that "only a Sikh may perform kirtan in a congregation". The rehat maryada was " written" in 1950 based on the recommendations of "Sikh scholars". They should have known better than to " exclude" people of other communities in what is supposedly the most "inclusive" of world religions. In my opinion they completely missed the point. I listened to Bhai Lal ji live during the period that this recording was made. He said as he began (in Panjabi) "I will paint a picture in your mind of Guru Nanak Dev Ji - such that you will actually feel as if you are in his presence". He commenced kirtan and through the use of shabads interlaced with parmaans he told the story of Guru Jis travels. I genuinely felt Guru Jis presence. No other Kirtanya has ever done that for me since, and I have listened to a lot of kirtan. Anyone who says that people of other faiths should be precluded from performing Kirtan in Maharajs presence are simply wrong. END.
