There is ALWAYS more to the story. I have yet to meet a single person from the "old valley" that doesn't have a bad memory or retell of a bad event, that took place for the new Dam to be built.

As beautiful as l think the place is, l'm always aware of the people who were hurt by it. Looking forward to Mr. Simpson's handwritten account of life in the valley 'before'. Love your channel. Grandparents had similar log cabin on west bank of the Raystown. Accessed by a steel truss bridge on the Logging Road north of the Saxton power plant (now a blahhh concrete girder bridge). Cabins sat just above the river flood plain and removed as part of the 70's reservoir. No old family records remain.

very interesting. Love old slides.. Found an OLD wooden slide storage box at an auction. Was GLASS slides of famous landmarks in Germany WWII era, before and after the raids !! Nobody really interested in it ! They didn't know what it was.. I got it for only $20 !!!

THAT is awesome!!! There is a guy I help on the web, who develops old film canisters found in antique camera's. Many of them are from WWII EU and we deduce where they are from for the viewers to know what they are looking at.

Hi I own a home 2.5 miles from the dam. It’s a very unusual 17 acres bordering on Army Corp ground. On the mountain behind my house there is an very very old house not much left of it last time I seen it in 2007 there were turkey buzzards using it as a nest! There is an old stone wall not sure if it was once a road? There is also a very old ford up there. It’s a very interesting site. Below my house was also another house or a meeting site. All that’s left there is one concrete step and rusty gutters!

Nah... I don't do the "give a donation and I will share" because I get the donation if you let the commercials play (0.005 cents per view garbage, but it adds up with the views). The Historical Societies and their BS with membership access or donation access instead of FREE access and pls make a donation. Oh the sickness.

They built lakes ALL across Pennsylvania to erase heritage. Glendale HS has a Glendale lake in Prince Galitzen State Park... Buried a town there too.
