I love a good woods walk, even more so when we start to uncover the history of a long lost community. Old roads, terraced land, people’s hard work now returning to nature. I was raised very country in NE Missouri but I don't do snakes! I think my heart literally stopped when that giant snake skin was held up! I'll just watch from my snake free living room!!!
Robert have to admit I've watched this video 4 × already. The quietness n the sound of running water is beautiful expecially now that were not able to really enjoy the outdoors. Thanks to u all.... 🤗🌲🌿🍂
Cody is a quite young man, and seems so happy going with you on these adventures. It's good to see him with you, he's learning many things with someone to guide him.
Robert love 💜 the adventures on homesite discoveries. Expecially to hear the crush n dry leaves under yur feet n the cut n of twigs break. Such a sooth n sound to the ear... Beautiful area... 👍🤓💚
You have one of those calming voice Robert. Unexpected beautiful streaming River curving its way through time an history. Ughh snakes! The Brown jug that Cody found. Somebody made me a gift once. Out of a green gallon wine bottle. They put a string of like 30 yellowish Christmas lights in it. Tide some old twine around the neck. It was called a jug of fireflies. I can't remember if there was anything painted on it or not. Nighttime twinkle lights for the kitchen, cool easy idea if you ever want to repurpose big old jugs. 💞🙏🇺🇲
You folks up in the piedmont area of Georgia have beautiful creeks to walk. We down here at sea level in the coastal plain have gator highways. The curved cedar tree is great to make a bowl from. There are people who will buy those burls and pay good money. The black stone looks like a vein of slate stone. That is what field stone is usually. And it has long channels in it. I remember going to Helena and Delonaga and to Grandfather Mountain, to see the water falls after I got out of the hospital. I had a stem cell transplant and was isolated for 100 days. I climbed Grandfather and was so proud when I told my Cancer doctor, he told me he had just got back from Mt. Everest. He had climbed it.
"Now he walks in quite solitude the forest and the streams Seeking grace in every steps he takes His sight has turned inside himself to try and understand The serenity of a clear blue mountain lake" Rocky Mountain High - John Denver Those words are you Robert; thank you and God Bless. So glad I found your channel.
It amazes me how nature covers up everything man or even storms of all kinds, are just covered up. The cemeteries you find that have been left to nature, the old houses, and all the many things that have been left to nature are gone. Unless these things are made a matter of record, they are gone forever. It makes me sad. I know that time marches on and so must we. I believe our time spent here is to find God. I to find him in places you like to go. I love being a part of God's creation. I even find myself praying for those souls who have gone on to be with God so many years ago. Even though you don't read every name, I pray for them anyway. Maybe that's crazy but, they have been remember one more time. I really love what you do. The only reason I watch you is because your heart is so good. The others who do it are just being nosy. There is a difference. I really do love history Georgia has so much history. Thank you so much. Again it was a great walk. God bless you, your friends, and family.
For those of us in lockdown around the world, who else has the car packed ready for the first chance to hit the road and explore again? Thanks for letting us live vicariously through your channel sidestep👍👍👍
Your videos are virtual reality for me. Especially on big screen. Loved this one.(ALL) I could actually hear twigs and leaves crunching under my feet. Quarantine ? What quarantine ? Sending old lady kisses to CODY. LOL Remembering the Halloween costumed video. 😃 Thanks guys.
Loved this one, it's no wonder folks settled there. What a wonderful place to have lived. Thanks for sharing this with all of us. You Take Care and be safe.
I love these Nature Walks through the woods! Thanks for taking us along! Being stuck at home this long, and probably for another month at least, it's nice to go out exploring with you guys!!! Excellent video!
Videos like this I look forward to seeing I cant wait until this Corona virus is over and I can get back out camping and going on nature trails and exploring the woods.
Really enjoy your videos,, had to smile, when you said cool water for a hot day in Georgia, while we still have some snow in the woods here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
My brother passed in Feb, but we always went walking called black river found bottles went digging along the river found traps the chain under the dirt to a tree.
Hi Gang, what a stunning area, the rock has those markings on it because some parts of the rock are more soluble than other parts. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful area. x
Cody got it right , he has his boots on. I expect water mockerson and copper heads are all over the place this time of year. Stunning place guys just stunning 👍
You should think about making a tape of just the sounds of the water and birds call it the Georgia sound to sleep by cause it sure makes me want to take a nap.
At 3:22 I'm surprised you didn't stop and show that Palmetto and talk about it. It seemed to be the only one there. I thought it was cool. Never mind. Later there were more of them along that stream, which was beautiful. I loved that stream with the straight rocks.
Those twisted trees might be in the middle of a vortice, valuable center for energy.🤔 Congrats. Your video popped out 10 commercials at me. Unbelievable. Eaglegards...👍
Such a beautiful peaceful walk. The sound of the creek was so soothing. BUT i could have happily lived a long time without seeing the snake skin. YUCK I hate 🐍. Lol
That is very similar to the place I was telling you about in reliance across from the church is a hollow you can follow the road from paved road down a gravel road well probably not gravel by more there are a lot of old structures there at the end of this road / trail is a creek, I believe it goes into Coker Creek above the hiawassee river
I've been meaning to ask you why, in many videos covering lost cemeteries, does Georgia have some many cemeteries out in the woods? It seems a bit strange.
I need tips on bottle digging, I live on the old town bottle dump here in texas and the red clay is like rock, whats the easiest and best way of digging through the soil without demolishing the bottles?
