I just visited some old buildings in my city! They're exciting and full of Russian history! #RussianHistory You can support me on Patreon: / russianplus
I am amazed by these old buildings. They are timeless because they can stand and get old and stay in good beautiful condition! I love the real wood work and the natural wood color. I prefer wood to be unpainted since it shows its real natural beauty! Nice job of showing! Appreciate it much!
You always make me wonder why I still live in Canada,, i love russia, the people, culture, lifestyle, country side, history, etc,,your videos are incredible as always,,spasibo
It will be better for you to love Russia from afar. You will be dissapointed. But of course you always welcome here as a tourist. It's very pretty city, I'm living here, so i know pretty much of it.
Greetings from Scotland, Great channel by the way! You are such an excellent presenter, such infectious enthusiasm. I also love Russian architecture, so ornate with such high levels of craftsmanship. Our friends from the east have so much to be proud of! :)
The woodwork is amazing on these houses. The Agafurov House is my fave. They deserve some love here and there. I mean someone should put some paint on them, but they sure are masterpieces. I love old buildings and architecture, so keep these vids coming ! Love your vlogs ! Spasibo !
We watch the film ‘Killing Eve’ in England., and disgusted how Russia is shown there-dirty, ruined. People are ugly and silly. The film was filmed in Romania, by the way. All the cities and towns in Russia are clean with beautiful architecture. People are beautiful, friendly, well educated.
On the other hand,UK is fed with false propaganda. The business houses are owned by ex colonial subjects. Some parts of UK look like a third world country. There is nothing great about UK(Great Britain and Northern Ireland). There is rampant unemployment.
Great video wow the wood architecture is fantastic I am amazed they still standing after 140 years .Going to show down your video and do frame by frame love looking at the detail of the wood architecture. When this virus thing is over, I am going to make planes to see Yekaterinburg. It amazing the handcraft they did back then. You sold me on have to see Yekaterinburg.
I love Russia and after watching your all videos I'm falling in love more deeper.. excited to visit 3rd time. this time Not Moscow or St Petersburg. Kazan, Yuktenburg and another Cities
Only on the internet do you get locals showing you historic corners of the places they live. I am surprised the 100+ year old wooden houses haven't burned down. Maybe they are not as close together or the cooler weather and snow reduce the big fires that destroy hundreds of homes in historic areas or maybe in dense city centers they just get replaced because land is at a premium.
Thank you for finding and sharing these fantastic old Russian homes. They deserve to be more widely known. Will be eager to see the inside views whenever they are open to the public.
Great and informative video. I love these old buildings, and thank you so much for sharing. If possible, I would love to see more of these kind of old buildings in your city.
the workmanship in those houses was very meticulous back in the days...the house the I liked the most is the one with the balcony, the wood carving and pattern would have looked like a real work of art...
Very nice and brings back many memories of when I was a student at the Ural Conservatoire. In those days, 1960's Soviet times, we would take our instruments and play in front of Ipatiev House which was very annoying to the police. Of course we could not enter. Thanks for your wonderful videos. These help to show that we are not the beasts that western media makes us. - Евгений
MaestroAlber ; I agree. There is so much that could be shared between Russia and the US. Russia depends on exports; the US is a consumer-based economy. Surely we could find a way to do more business with each other.
I love the distinctive architecture, and the differences too. The main has looks rustic with Scandinavian looking accents whereas the servant's house has a semi Victorian look but yet it's own distinctive Imperial look. Super cool! I only know about 50 Russian words....and still can't pronounce Yekaterinburg like a local 🙄. Adorable Shiba Inu; dog people seem friendly the World over 🙂.
I love looking at old houses. I try to imagine what the family felt as they moved into the brand new house. Did they feel giddy, prideful, relieved, blessed? Did they rush around trying to arrange furniture and decorations just right? Did they let out a sigh of relief as they settled in their beds that first night? Love your videos! - From Louisiana, USA
Thanks for the tour. The architecture is very different from where I live in southeast US. I liked the servants house better in the first houses you showed!
I love these old houses - the ornate work on the eaves - so cool! Thanks for the tour. I hope you do more - and it would be so nice to see the inside, too, (once this coronavirus cloud goes away, and they're open once more)!! The dogs were an added nice touch. the pup that wanted to play is beautiful! (I am a dog lover, big ones, as well as small ones.) This is a great way to see Russia, without having to go through customs, pay the airfare, etc. Большое спасибо!
Russian houses ARE awesome! I cannot understand why anyone would want to live in a 20-story generic concrete box when they could have a home that is as nice as these traditional homes.
I’m a history nerd so I would definitely enjoy more videos about Russia (and Soviet) history. I like wooden houses, they have cool style. And that was a nice balcony. Good video
Thank you for sharing. It looks like the city takes care of the buildings. I hope that the building, intended to be a museum will give a chance to see the inside.
Gorbeous houses! Kind of reminds me of fairytale houses. I'd love to see how carpenters build such places. Thank you for such a treat. This video alone does so more than my talking to get people appreciate and not fear diversity.
Dealing with the same restrictions in Moscow. Please keep going out and living life. These small acts show everyone that the human spirit can't be broken. We are meant to be in touch with nature and other people. Love seeing the beautiful, old, Russian houses. Hope to own one someday. These videos always bring cheer.
Doggies are super cute! They make any video even better! 😀😍 I love such amazing old Russian houses, but it is clear, that there are no such ones here in Volgograd....
I agree about the doggies. Love the Sheba-Inu. There probably is not much in Volograd that is pre-war. The whole world is eternally grateful for the heroic fight by the Red Army in Stalingrad/Volograd that turned the tide and saved the world from fascism. You have a right to very proud of your city -- even if there is not much historical buildings left.
@@somersetdc Because of an accidental slip of the tongue, you ended up with a completely different city. And it so happened that there is such a city in Russia. Vologda and Volgograd are two completely different cities. You got them mixed up by accident. They wrote Vologda, and we were talking about Volgograd. But Vologda is an old Russian city with mostly wooden houses. He was far from the front line and there were no battles there. The city is located much to the north, surrounded by forests and is famous for its dairy production and the famous Vologda butter. And Volgograd is located to the south in the steppe zone and, in addition to the famous Battle of Stalingrad, is known for its industrial enterprises and a tractor plant.
Another great video Slava, I enjoyed seeing your historical buildings Please make this a series of videos.I look forward to seeing your next video I enjoy 😊 your insight into every day life in Russia.keep safe from UK
Indeed old is gold. 👍 i feel like a Russian everytime I watch ur videos. Deeply in love with Russian plus. Thank you. @sorry didn't know ur name yet though.
Great video as usual sir. Your videos show a lot of stuff that I have thought about. Like the apartments, houses, villages, etc. I really enjoy your videos and want to see Russia some day. Thank you!

Greetings from Soviet Occupied California, where our freedoms to go outside, and enjoy our beautiful beaches! I really enjoy your videos! Keep up the good work!
I love all kinds of Russian architecture especially the decorative wooden architecture. Also like the onion dome style. Either way it means Russia to me.
TY!... loved those old houses... the architecture is very different from what I have seen... the house and the decorative fretwork.. amazing...and I have traveled a lot internationally... be lovely to see inside some of those buildings.... PS: I did prefer the 'servant's building, very pretty! :D
Very interesting video. It's hard to decide which house I like best, I love all Russian architecture. Probably because of my, partly, Russian blood. Lana and you make a great, and enjoyable, vlog team.
Thank you, how’s amazements with the sculpture beautiful houses and the building. Not awesome and I hope to see more. How’s nice to see the inside of the houses 😊.
I find the Agafurov's Residence and the Filitz's Mansion most impressive. I've always been fascinated about each & everything Russian. Imperial & aristocratic Russian houses were know to me. But I had very little idea about the houses of Russian Merchants & Businessman. Thank you so much for this video. Destiny willing someday I'll witness all these gems with my own eyes. Love & respect Russia!
Saint Petersburg where I live also has a number of those 18th-19th century wooden houses in the downtown area. Surprisedly not a lot of people are know about them despite many are real architectural marvels. Some old noble houses especially those on Kamenniy Island even look like houses from some fairy tales.
Thank you for the video! You guys are cool and funny! I visited Yekaterinburg in 2018 when I was doing my Trans-Siberian Railway trip but I don't remember seeing these houses. Would be great if you can make a video about the church of All Saints were Romanov family where murdered... or maybe on top of Vysotsky tower? The view of the city from there is really cool!
I do not how this part of ekaterinburg with so many beautiful wood houses ! I could not come in 2020 because of the virus, I will show this video to my friends and see if I can do a tour .Hope this year I can come ! Christopher from Down Under
