Yeah its not like TIG welding ;-) , mostl likely humid sticks or not having the "knack" - mind you..it took me about a year to get proficient enough to get by....380 Volts might help...anyway ...besides the point ..I'm not into this hipster thing anyway - just old school wrench monkeying to get the stress of the week off my shoulders...I kinda liked this vid though with a pint and a smoke at hand
Great to see the passion for motorcycles. I love the old-school garage bike styling people are getting into these days. You can get a bike cheap, fix it up and it will be the reliable machine you will love for the rest of your life, long after it's gone. A place you can never go back to.

Stick welding is probably not the best process to use when welding on a motorcycle, also he needs to kick up his amps, that's why he's not able to strike an arc lol. Learn TIG, much cleaner, gets that particular job done better, and no spatter all over your bike or that aerosol can just chillin there being showered in sparks. It's hard to look cool doing something when you don't know what you're doing. I dunno.

Thank you! Some people do not understand that there is fantasy in this video and it is not about welding or wrenches. Some people might think that there are real warp drives when they watch Star Trek or any other sci-fi movie... I've been riding a Sportster for 13 years now (and many other bikes before it), I jet the Mikuni carb myself and some other maintenance. But I have the bike - now with some 100,000 mi - to ride, I only deal with screws, wrenches, etc when I have to.
Hi! Thanks for your comment! I found this video in RU-vid a couple of years ago and shared it... I did not do it, though I wish I could have played a part in it :-). I am a motorcyclist, I have been riding them for some 43 years now (I am 56 at the time of this wiriting). I have a H-D Sportster, converted the engine from 883 to 1200 cc and other changes. I loved this video and just shared it. It seems that people find my profile before they find the original and it has lots of visualizations. I am sorry that I can't help you more.
