A mix of bracket racing and heads up gasser drag racing from Eagle Field Runway Drags, October 2021. There were so many more cars that I didn't get a chance to see run.
From the start of this film I was "in the zone" . What a great line up of old school metal that really means a lot to me,and how I feel about the whole scene. Better days sadly gone. Thanks for posting. Excellent 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Guess it’s a generational thing but I am 66 and my eyes went past by the old gassers and onto the classic muscle cars in the other lane! BTW, I attended a race there about 10 years ago.
Was a faithful watcher of the Sega races during the debacle known as the Pandemic. First, with all the money, time and effort into building, setting up and ultimately driving a car , a time and mph should be recorded at the end of the race. Second ... watching the races was enjoyable , but now it's like watching the movie Ground Hog Day. s
i built my gasser during the lockdowns, hard as hell to get parts. drivers get time slips at sega, they just dont display them to fans. keeps fans guessing on the winner every race. Eagle field is much more grassroots, old school racing on a poor track surface. like the old days
It actually isn’t a strip. It’s an old, small airfield that hosts these nostalgia drag events once or twice a year. It literally is in the middle of nowhere. I believe it originally was a military airfield in WWII.
I like the little black F-85...I'd lower it down and put it on the street!! Cool little car. I really enjoyed the tree flashing the winner. The flashlight drag guys need to buy one....
That F-85 is super cool and really well done, the guy made a whole front -to-back frame for it (its originally unibody) for the ladder bars and cage to go it. I have some other videos of it online, its another real period-correct 4 speed car. It would be fun to have one as a going to town car
Gonna take a miracle to make it by the 20th of May.. The new suspension is almost done, the block is coming back from QMP this week (I hope) then Stan Wright will start to assemble. Trans should be done this week along with the blower getting freshened up.. Its going to be a totally different car.. check on my channel and see the new straight axle kit that will be a 90% bolt on. My 57 will be the first one with the kit. Hope to be at Eagle Field soon.
