@@marzilyas so one guy is all you need??? John set solid picks and held them, most players would not hold them. VERY rarely was anything called as they were legal. That's why Robinson and Stockton got into a scuffle in the video. Listen to what Robinson has to say about Stockton, David has great respect for John and would search him out during the Olympics and other league events. Even though they scuffled both would never call the other dirty. Rodman has plenty of evidence showing he was dirty along with most of the bad boyz.
@@offroad6309 boy STOP. I watched his entire career and a number of players who faced him said he was sneaky dirty and crafty with it. Being dirty is not the worst thing. Most of the league played the same way back then. We loved it. But here YOU ARE being a limpwrist about it.
@@TheEsquireOfSportsFSU lmao 😂😂😂. For a little girl you gave absolutely nothing if substance. I gave examples. Talk about limp wristed, you clearly have a I side track in the subject. How closely did you really follow his career. Many players had a great deal of respect for John. He was a tough hard-nosed player from playing against his older brother in the driveway at home. Try dealing in facts instead of your emotional side.
Jerry Sloan (RIP) and Don Nelson used to play in the 70s! When u had to handle yourself in a fight. So I can buy them as guys who wouldn’t back down from players physically.
true, the 70s were tough. it was also an era when it was common for guys to smoke at halftime. both don and jerry were serious players, but they also wouldn't have gotten close to being in the NBA if they'd played only 10 years later.
George Karl also played in the '70s, mostly in the ABA, and he was always ready to mix it up on the court. In fact, he started a near-riot in a playoff game against the then-New York Nets when he was a player with the Spurs.
Another tough coach: former Golden State coach Al Attles. I'll never forget him flying off the bench after Washington's Mike Riordan after Riordan mugged Rick Barry in Game 4 of the 1975 Finals.
Love your videos man. Is there anyway you can send me some of your Larry Johnson heated vids? Just the the raw files themselves, I enjoy your video but I just want to hear it with commentary
Remember as you watch this, some of those 'officials" where caught betting and fixing games. Hard to believe that the other members of the crew didn't notice...... Sloan was a great coach and had his players backs. I would have loved to see Rodman and him mix it up. Dennis was a cheap shot artist, those types generally don't do well when face to face and nobody to stop it. Larry Miller the Jazz owner came on to the court going at Dennis once.
One official was caught betting and fixing game. Tim Donaghy. Rodman won 5 championships, 2 DPOYS, and 7 rebounding titles in the 90s. Sloan was a very good defender and rebounder and all star, and was from a tough era when guys could barely jump. Rodman was cheap, but no cheaper than Malone, who knocked out David Robinson and cheap shotted Isiah Thomas into 40 stitches or whatever it was. In the end, Rodman comes out on top.
@@marzilyas interesting take. I've watched the Thomas replay many times with different angles and can't see anything intentional being obvious. Yes Thomas got hurt but it doesn't appear to be intentional. David was in the wrong place and Malone has said he felt bad about it. Again no sign of being intentional. Just watch again Rodman sticking his knee into Stockton, clearly intentional. Huge difference. How many times did rodman get ejected because of the type of fouls he committed. Not including the arguing ones, very different. Rodman had great skills but his sideshow crap kept him from reaching his potential. To bad, he had a huge upside skill wise.
