First time in Sharlayan hearing this like, oh nice how pretty, what are those vocals trying to say? Hearing this in Sharlayan after hearing Flow when the vocals be like ~through teary eyes~ nice

Walked into Sharlyan for the first time yesterday. Am gobsmacked at the beauty of the day theme... WOW!!!

It really can't be overstated just how beautiful this song is. Even after having played the game for over 6 years, a vet to a certain measure, I still stand in awe every time I end up in Old Sharlayan. Feel like a wide-eyed newbie again.

This song feels like coming home after a long trip and getting a hug from your mom.

In Shadowbringers, you were the Warrior of Darkness and the main city hub - Crystarium - had a vocal part during it's night theme. In Endwalker, you are the Warrior of Light and the main city hub - Old Sharlayan - has a vocal part during it's day theme.

It took me a while to warm up to Endwalker, since I had just finished Shadowbringers and was still attached to it. But after finishing EW, Sharlayan's music has sentimental value

I’m gonna be honest, if it weren’t for how terribly far this zone is from everywhere else, the subsequent teleportation costs and its’ proximity to labyrinthos, I may just set my home teleport here. I love this theme, and the place has a very pleasant atmosphere. I’d definitely save a few million Gil if I knew this place’s housing market was opening.

I once passed out in my chair, listening to the track on loop. My headphones (a pair of Bose) are quite excellent at cancelling out outside noises, and I tend to end up in odd positions - so naturally, when I awoke from the middle of a dream, my limbs were numb, and I'm extremely light sensitive so I tend to cover my face in a nap - a yellow towelette in this case. Dopey, limbs without feeling and mostly feeling weightless - I woke to the choir, and for a good minute thought I'd died and entered a heaven. It's an embarrassing thing in retrospect - I'm agnostic, and of course I'm not dead the pins and needles really hurt... But for that single moment, I was in total confused bliss.

Everytime the vocals hit, I feel like crying 😭. How can it be so impactful!

love how when you first hear this song, the lyrics sound incoherent but after actually hearing the lyrics in Flow, it all sounds so clear. you can easily sing along every time you come back here. then theres the part after. the "our song of hope" part. the fact that it doesnt have the lyrics almost encourages us to sing the rest on our own. to carry on the song of hope. we have the wisdom to do so now. what im trying to say is, its a good song

Ever since the beginning of Endwalker, this OST always sounded like someone singing from beneath the earth because of how the voice was muffled. Incredible audio storytelling right here

I've had this song repeat in my head for 4 days now, it's one of the things keeping me calm and holding me together.

Similar to the 'Night Theme' of the Crystarium, this song had me stop and listen when I first heard the faded vocal melody at the beginning of Endwalker. Instantly fell in love, knew I'd be looking forward to hearing this particular melody more as I progress through the story. Full song is such a tear jerker, though.

Was feeling pretty depressed and overwhelmed - out of time even - due to a whole host of factors, then I read the lyrics to the song. What is today but the end of the journey to tomorrow? Everything will be fine - though we'll weep, we'll close our eyes, let them sleep all blind, in such a still night. For tomorrow, the winds rise again.

I love how much influence Soken took from his work on FFXIV and put it into FFXVI. He probably wrote both scores at the same time

When I first stepped foot here I heard this track. I was like ok not bad then the vocals hit, and I was immediately taken aback by how beautiful this track is. Definitely right up there with Crystarium night theme and Amaurot

This song makes me miss my mom and also, "her". When Flow kicks in I just turn into a sobbing mess.

How a song captures the story beats of "Saying goodbye forever to your mother" and " The journey is far from over" is beyond my tiny homonculus brain. But once again Soken has completely aced the OST.

My favorite song in the whole expansion, it's not even close (in the distance :P ) Amanda just has such an angelic voice, she moves me to tears everytime I hear this or the night theme in Crystarium.

I havent played XIV since soon after resale of end walker but this song fills me with such emotion for some reason.

A masterpiece of a soundtrack. The calm, yet somber and uplifting tone mixture of it all completes it. Sprinkled in with the feeling that something feels off at 1:08. Yet it becomes a song of devotion and hope fully at 1:59. The perfect essence for Sharlayan.. the city of knowledge and scholars and a forum of political agenda plotting. Watching the world with a keen eye, but from a far away distance.

I just finished Endwalker and this is one of my favorite songs! seeing your character taking a stroll in the city helps me enjoy this more, I feel like I am walking there, too. Thank you!

This was such a comforting track throughout my endwalker msq journey. It was reassuring to hear coming back from each major story section. Then I got to the part where flow plays for the first time and realised the connection to this track and just started to cry

I jus started Endwalker and I was blown away by this theme -

Every time 3:29 hits, I cannot help but hum aloud to myself to the mezzo-staccato motif. Despite being enchanted by hearing Crystarium Night's soprano solo, the piano solo that follows here is my favorite part of the whole track. Makes me feel right at home.

I just finished the EW MSQ and idk what to do anymore. Everything is fixed and now I can just look back and remember these random adventures throughout the entire story regardless of how insignificant or impactful they were. Its the same feeling as finishing a really good TV show and you just feel empty at the end, except this time youre in the story and its way more personal. I dont think ive played a video game that made me feel this way because they were either too short, or the main character wasn't personally you so it just felt like a tv show.

I just arrived here today and love everything about this song and city
