In game, 13 speed paired with 3.90 gears. Most versatile combo, you can haul almost anything with a 13 speed. All my trucks have the big 600 hp motors though, so I'm sure that doesn't hurt lol
Great video, thank you for the ride along! In the mid 2000s my dad had a Peterbilt 359 with a 3406B with a good old five and four transmission. He load logs in the foothills of the Sierra in California. Loved seeing that engine roll coal with an 80,000 pound load of logs!!! Too bad California has all this emissions crud now. 😢 Thank goodness I can revive it in ATS.
Hauled logs in BC for awhile, we had a needle nose kw with a 5 and 4 and a 3408, that thing was insane. But my truck was a C15 with an 18. That truck outpulled all the new cummins that were out there in the hills. We were like 15-20% hills and 200k ish pounds
We have a 98 kenworth with a 3406 and a 15 speed also. Back when my uncle still drove truck he’d haul bobcats from their big plant in Gwinner nd to Minneapolis. That was the first truck I got to learn how to drive and it’s to this day my favorite one to drive when I go back and help during harvest. Can’t beat the sound of a 3406 and don’t even get me started about the engine brake sound. Edit to add: can’t tell you how many times I try shifting like a regular H pattern when jumping back and forth between trucks. I forget to go up and over and back down sometimes when I hop back in that truck when coming from either our 13 or 10 speed 😂
First off mike still loving the vids brother good luck with your new job! My favorite set up has to be the old Detroit series paired with 18 speed. Moving through the gears sounds like a sweet symphony. Especially with zeemods
well you wanted me to comment 15 speed, but I think the 13 is my favorite. That said, I haven't tried the 15 before, so I may come back and update the comment later. 😂
My 379 said 17k on the brass plate so i would bet that truck would be 14-15 k beeing a day cab . Also i love the old cat and fifteen together . Wish the jake was a bit stronger like the red head cummins was in its day .
If you run heavy over 100k consistently yes. However majority of the industry doesn’t. I even personally drive an 18 and think it’s sometimes to much 😂 You actually have the second transmission In the truck?? What do yall haul!
@@MikePettGamingThe 4 speed is an air shifted aux with 4.xx rears on all the trucks for the oil field, lots of coils, service rigs, substations and whatever else we can throw on the trailer lol...around 100,00kg on the regular.
Snowy moon has been super shady with forcing a license and making it paid without notice and locking people out. I would be much more interested in anything else like config settings and control panel settings. " R_buffer_pagesize 300" solved most of my stuttering issues along with the nvidia control panel.
