Sad to see that you are still struggling. My brother was in the army for approximately 18 years and was in the IRAQ war. Things did not go well when he came out. He is settled now but it was a very hard number of years for him. Fitness regimen helps his mental health and he did the London Marathon and a few other events to raise money for charity’s linked to the army/services like Help for Hero’s. Big hugs!

I am a Dutch Iraq veteran and I thought it was a nice video. Certainly how they think the same about other people's war and they wouldn't want to be in it and how you react with emotions based on your own experience.

That was 'interesting' what the younger soldier told about being ready to fight ALL the time and then coming home and doing the same when someone's only looking at you the wrong way. I never got that. I always thought that was because of the bad experiences, but never because it's programmed into you. A soldier has to be ready all the tme, because danger can come from anywhere, at anytime. Thanks for the reaction Paul. It can't be easy to talk about your experiences. Food for thought.

I can't find the words, other than 'thank you' . It hit's me. My dad was in a camp in Germany, survived but never talked about it. Untill this day my brother and I are still trying to find out his war-history. Thank you for your reaction from the heart.

Such a beautiful way to communicate about this tough subject. And once again, thank you to all the men and women of the armed forces, for all the sacrifices you have to make. Veterans need to be treated to much more respect. My stepdad served in the UN peace keeping force in Lebanon in the 1980’s, and I have a huge amount of respect for what he did there. Luckily Dutch society is finally starting to realize that these people deserve our respect, and appreciation. Thanks again for a great video, Paul!

I love your veteran reactions, I’m a vet, myself. There is a channel called “Cut.” that has interviews with veterans to share their experiences, thoughts on killing, stuff like that. I think you would really enjoy them, whether as a reaction or as something to just check out.

Was never in service. But i can only imagine the difficulties the strength the bravery head strong loss lost...etc just want to thank you for upholding freedom combustible. I am a history nut well don't know everything but im glad we have our men an woman out there that will lift boots an head out to protect us. Heart tug video. Much respect.

My dad’s dad was in world war 2 and his grandfather was in world war 1. My mom’s dad was in the Korean War and I lost him 2 years ago when he had a stroke. My mom’s sister’s husband was in both gulf wars.

😏I served to defend our values and have the last 2 generations live a good decent life! I defended our values for 42 years, now! Just turned 60 on 28th June. And I’m very sad ti realize all my efforts and sacrifices were for this world we live on now😏🤮
