Listen to the golden collection of songs like Accha ji mai haari, Aaiyea meharbaan,Choudhvin ka chaand and more from the Black & White era of Bollywood.
I just joined the service at the age of 18 + years and was busy in preparing for the Departmental exams which consists of two parts and four papers each. I joined during 1964 and cleared the All India exam in 1970 and was posted to Katni. During these period I never went to any movies and avoided hearing Hindi movie songs. I had my golden life with my friends and music was only our food during spare time. I neve thought in my wildest dreams that I will ever hear the mesmerising melodious songs. Thanks to the internet and smartphone revolution which enabled me relive my teenage golden time as I am approaching my eternal journey. Thanks for sharing.🙏

One of the greatest short collections of the Old Hindi Songs. Listening them is absolute peace, a pure meditation. My tributes to those angels sent us this gift.
Aaiye meherbaan is such a timeless song. Asha Bhonsle's voice and Madhubala's acting make it more seductive than any modern day can ever be. That's what makes the song so charming. :-)

This is a beautiful collection of soulful, melodic and outstanding songs of Indian Cinema of Golden Years! Kudo's to all the Artists who composed songs, devised music and sang these great immemorable songs!! This is the treasure they left behind for us to enjoy forever!!! ❤
We all should feel pride in being born in the era of golden music. Proud to hear from Kishore, Mohammed Rafi Sahab, Mukesh Ji, and many more. They were god gifted and used their talent to spread love, tolerance, and honesty among us. Many of us argue in vain to decide who is the superior singer between Rafi and Kishore. They both were precious to all of us. Many songs that Kishore da could not sing were given to Rafi Sahab. Many pieces were only meant for Kishore da. If folks do not know, they both were excellent friends. Rafi Sahab used to listen to Kishore da and vice versa. In those days eyes, hearts, and souls of singers and listeners were full of love and passion. There was no division. The time has come to introspect why we have fallen to such low standards. For all of us, bread and butter are the main problems, then why religions have become our guide in this life. If we can not become talented like these great people, then at least we can learn to live with love and unity from their life. Thank you and have a good listening. Listen with your heart and soul, and let your ears become a medium to pass those pleasant voices. Salute and health to you all. Ameen Ghori
I do believe radio was a big thing during your time. I am a 90's kid and I love 90's songs but I also prefer listening to old songs before that especially Rajesh Khanna, my all time favourite after of course Sharukh Khan. You have a happy healthy life Ma'am.:)
During golden olden days lots of efforts were made for songs, tunes ,lyrics to perfection after repeatd rehearsals. It used to take days. That's what makes them imortal unlike now when everything thing is convyor belt product with minimum time taken.
Madhubala is a unique actress. Unlike her times of expressing high sentimentality in the acting, she was restrained. A radiant smile, a turn of head, a glance of her convey dozen moods. When she smiled, her whole being lit up. It is a matter of regret that she died at an early age of 36 years. The simple dress, and make up of these actors, simple uncomplicated movements have a pleasing effect on the viewers even after five plus decades.
Some of us were not born at this time when these songs were made , but they will remain timeless..... thankful that they had the thought to record so we NOW IN THE YEAR OF 2021 Can enjoy good , whole some Indian music from yesterday year ..... many of the people who grew up with these songs , may not be around ...... but sure left a wonderful legacy ( including my two wonderful parents ). May there souls Rest In Peace .🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾
Chwduwin ka chand ho...I listened many others singing this song..Jane bahar thum kisi shayar ka qab ho.. Jane kitnebhi ho.. Rafi sahib... .lajawab hai.
All songs of this list are melodies but the song ये मेरा दीवानापन है...... मुकेश जी ने जो गाया है अतुलनीय !!!!!!!! दिल के बिलकुल गहराई में जा के उतरता है दर्द 🙏
A greeting at first sight can perform wonders. It can leave an everlasting memories last more than one life time. It will flourish the one being greeted.
Something about indian classics that they just get me swaying and vibing. I am sure it has something to do with the note scales they use. So beautiful!! Love you india from mexico ❤❤
No words are availabe in appriciation of this lyrics and song and it's remarkable singing. Ever green style of acting of both the artists. Deepak Kumar Paul.

In 90's Doordarshan used to have specials on famous directors like Guru Dutt, Bimal Roy etc. That was the time I was lucky to catch up with many of Guru Dutt movies. Grateful to DD for those days.
Many hats one can wear in a lifetime, always serve the hat worn, but remember to always keep in mind the thoughts of the Nation where one lives, and call home.
