Mike! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE BEAUTIFUL STEAMERS! GOOD OL CLASSIC SMOKIES! Although there was no golden spike celebration clips THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THE STEAMERS!
8 Jan 2016 - Dan Markoff, 67, stands next to his steam engine of a 140-year-old Eureka & Palisade, well done sir, you got yourself a rare beauty, all she needed was a bit of love and shallow pockets, she was always wood burning, unlike some others
7:26 A speedy 4-4-0! Also, nice video! I really enjoy seeing these types of trains considering I don't get to see that much.. The only time I really see trains they are diesel engines.
Civil war 440’s are so elegant and quirky I like them. Reminds me of the beautiful engine known as the general and Texas. I’m biased since I live in Georgia
Or you can come to hesston steam museum to look and ride in one 🙂. there is also a gift shop and fountain drink but the only thing is it's only in New Buffalo, Michigan
one time my grandson came over while I was watching a western, he asked me why hey coundent just use cars. I replied because it was a time before cars a long time ago, he then replied well they had color TV
A 🇧🇮🇬 Thanks for showing some local color here in Nevada I'm about 20 + miles from this in Silver Springs , Nv . As much as I like trains I haven't had any time to go see this let alone ride
I like these old western trains they look good they have made good Cowboy film with them nice country side I like the bridge scene the coaches all ways look nice the caboose is interesting as well (a good video)
+Bruce Sharpe I should shake your hand just for saying that. However, I found out that actually the theme to "The Magnificent Seven". I always get those two themes mixed up
Very nice. Good video. I’m a huge fan old old trains. I have an HO and N scale set. There are trains in a game called Red dead redemption that look very similar but they didn’t get things right. The sounds, colors, speed, and more. There are no passenger cars in the online version. There are also no cabooses. It doesn’t chug along like the real thing. The wheels don’t click and squeak and the conductor doesn’t use the bell while coming or going out of the stations. It is cool that you can drive them though.
nice to see america has got alot of restored and preserve steamies. however the U.K scrapped alot it's steamies because of it going all nationalized in the late 40's and with all steam engines here in the uk. there's probably only 30 of them running
"If this capsule history of our progress teaches us anything, it is that man, in his quest for knowledge and progress, is determined and cannot be deterred."-John F. Kennedy
Why do they run cabooses on passenger trains? I know you want it to be old style but they didn't have cabooses only freight and Hollywood would use them. They need a proper narrow and standard gauge observation cars.
Some "mixed" trains ran with them. In this case, the train was running with a caboose because some people like to ride in the caboose and the railroad wanted to make that opportunity available.
@CoasterFan2105 HEY!! I just saw this on Model Train Stuff. Its the last one, they found it in a warehouse. Coaster F159PHI by Athearn. Thought I would let you know as these arent made anymore.
