Same, I actually loled at the condom, but that’s super responsible and considerate of the hotel to provide that for free.

Korea knows how to take care of their guests. *applause* The fact you didn't have to pay an extra arm and leg for those toiletry bags is fantastic. Hey Hiltons, Ramada Inns, Ws, Holiday Inns, ALofts, all the hotels over here in the US, step up your toiletry game. Where are our facial masks, and cream face cleansers, hair ties, razors, etc? Even the baby prevention souvenirs, you already have our business, don't be shy or skimpy with the goody bags too. P.s. That sushi and Fried chicken though. Mmmm Mmmm Goooood. Oh em Gee. I just had dinner, and now I want to find the closest Bon Chon chicken place in Philly. KFC or Popeyes isn't going to cut it.

We took in a Japanese student and visited most parts of California. Nearing his week stay we ventured to a Japanese sushi restaurant and he mentioned that sushi made here is far different from the sushi made in Japan. You guys claiming that the sushi does not have the same flavor and texture got my curiosity. I wonder the difference is between, as far as quality is concerned, Korea/Japan vs US sushi.

MsLansones Since Japan is an island and Korea is a peninsula, basically they have easy access to fresh fish and sea food. Here in the USA, most neta (fish or seafood that goes on top of sushi rice) are not as fresh even on the coastal regions. Because the land is so big and transportation takes time, in order to prevent food-borne illness, they have to be frozen, which completely changes the texture and diminishes the freshness of neta. In Korea and Japan, most restaurants serve freshly caught seafood and also most seafood restaurants have their own fish tanks where they keep fish and seafood alive until they are ready to be prepared (at least in Korea I know this is a thing) unless they're serving the type of sushi that requires aging of neta.

sushi is japanese food sushi isn't korean food

You are wrong. But they had Japanese style sushi in this restaurant. Korean style sushi is called hwe, and prepared quite differently, look and taste different. In general, Japanese sushi is aged hours to develop flavor but Korean whe is eaten without aging as Koreans prefer fresh fish.
