Why is this extremely entertaining to watch? I can imagine sitting around a fire with some friends, eating chicken and watching this man perform lol.

I don't think enough is known about the native dances or culture I appreciate any information that is shared about a culture that is so majestic and beautiful.

round these parts we call dat "round bustle" some say this style "WHATEVER U CHOOSE TO CALL IT'' was like a jumping off point for alotta mens styles. not ALL but alot. awesome vid

old style fast war dancing they called it....

it kind of evolved from the chicken dance and fancy dance, as you see in many old photos of the 20's to 50's they are dressed this way.

On the other hand, their tactics clearly demonstrated that making the other guy think they ARE retreating is allowed.

all my dances would be for war, if they have to do with stars then we are at war.... but we keep the peace, and we stay of good behaviour for those who need us.. all of them songs are war....

First off if you look at the colors of his outfit, it's red yellow black, traditional Cheyenne Colors. I am Southern Cheyenne, myself. The dance is part mans fancy.

hmmm,, i see old style stuff but he was fancy dancing if it was southern,,,, the rig is 70s style, but he was dancing real modern.... the old style dance is still around,,,,, just isnt seen as much,, but the rig thats straight fancy to me but 70s fancy,,,,, anyways my humbe 2 cents,,,

I've always heard that dancing backwards represents retreating, and in the Native Americans' eyes, that's wrong. They don't retreat.

hmm... for me it looks kind a prairie chicken dance - couse of the entire regalia and the style of dancing... what do you think about that?

um this is chicken dancing. look at the round bustle angora,roach feathers,yoke and knee/leg bells oh and the plumage

there was no such thing as dance styles you either danced fast wardance or slow wardance.......
