I'm 69 and as a kid, Sgt Rock and Sgt. Fury comics were always the ones I waited for each week so I could get the first ones delivered to our local TG&Y store in my hometown. The ones you just found looked to be in very good shape. Great find in those comics for sure.

Definitely the best unit so far this year..... That lil yellow bus with the little people is from the early - mid 70's .... I remember my brother and I having one when we were kids..... Super old comics? They were 12 cents when I bought them, so I don't think that's super old. I agree it was a while back. If you got fifty cents for your allowance, and sales tax was 4%, you could buy four comics a week. Those two quarters were 90% silver, but nobody thought anything of it at the time. Glen A and I would cross the river using a fallen tree, walk through the woods, through the factory yard, and reach the main street in the next town. About a quarter of a mile down the street was Kermes, which had every comic book sold. It was a great time to be a boy, nobody questioned where you were going or what you were up to.

Oh my gosh, Bozo the clown, I used to watch his show on tv before I went to school every morning !! Now THAT is old school and a big part of children's programming history. That metal robot is the complete Voltron robot, and he's worth WAY more than $20. The arms, legs and chest are all separate lions that come together to form Voltron. It was a pretty popular anime cartoon back in the 80's.

Right before you picked up Speedy Gonzalez, the robot was VOLTRON. I had one as a kid though it stood 24 inches and the lions come apart. Loved the cartoon too❤

I'm going to guess on the bus that you have there that it is probably circa late '60s early '70s. I've never seen anything like it honestly. I do remember the wooden dog with the wheels and the yellow string. I know you didn't have one of those in the unit, but I do remember that toy along with the Fisher Price telephone and I think earlier in one of the other videos to this unit, there was one of those Fisher-Price televisions. ... Jebus and Amber, look up the value of Hess toys. For years, Hess was popular but was sold in the last 10 yrs. Hess was around since 1980s or 90s maybe before that. Another gas station from back in the day was 76 station. Very popular 50 yrs ago. They also had large truck stops along the interstates. Our family would stop at them to fill up while traveling when I was a child.
