This ought to be released on mobile with buttons on the corners. It's the most natural transition because you could use phone music libraries.

No way would this be "more natural" on PC - it just wouldn't work like that.

Not really. This game presumes the ability to press any two of the command buttons at the same time and helps learning how to do that by making the movements for every comand very distinct (thumbs simply press down, while index fingers simply pull towards you). As such, putting buttons on the corners will make for an incredibly awkward experience, as you'd need to use two fingers per hand on the screen. Even a PC port would be slightly awkward, due to every finger doing the same movement, increasing the learning curve. In other words, this game was made to be played with a controller and it would be very difficult to reproduce the experience with a keyboard or touch screen.

Jim, thank you so much for having introduced me to this game a few years ago by having made this video. ...I was able to bring a community of over 200 people together over this tiny game because word of mouth spread, and you definitely helped with that. am i the only one that see's each obstetrical as the buttons on the PS controller? X for zigzags square for the boxes O for the loops and triangle for the holes but that would just make the game too easy wouldn't it.

The existence of this game doubles my already massive desire to put together the ultimate PS1 gaming station. I'd really like to use Vib Ribbon to promote my own music. When the title screen music started and Vibri began dancing, I just put my hands on my face and made the most high pitched squee from the sheer cuteness! Great video Caddy, this might be my favorite review you've done. OMG CHRIST IN A CRISPY COATING YES!!!! I had this for my 11th birthday (Back when Virgin Media still had a store chain) and I LOVED it and still do!! Once in a while, I'll play every song I could think of on it. Queen, Barry White, The Strokes, Devin Townsend, Mozart, Weird Al, Video Game Soundtracks, You name it! I love it! Thanks Caddi. Got this game an hour ago, only played through silver mode then decided to put in some music CD's. The first freaking song I tried had 30 combined obstacles spinning around flying at me before I knew how to get over them as soon as the level started.

I have now since played this game, and it's a pure joy and hidden treasure to play. The music's awesome, the character is so endearing and I loved this game so much I learned how to burn music onto a CD just so I could try some different songs. I was a little ambitious with my choices. Heavy Machinery was one of the hardest tracks to play.

I went to a science center a few months ago that was holding this thing called The Game Masters exhibit. It was a show case of games old and new. They had exclusive interviews with game devs, but the coolest thing was you could play every game in there. They actually had Vib Ribbon and I played it because of this video. Of course, the audio was too quiet and the place was too loud so it wasn't as enjoyable as it could've been. :(

No, it was in Ohio at a place called COSI. Though, judging by the name, and assuming it had the same kind of thing going on, I can only assume they're about the same.

@Appleboy78165 If I remember correctly, I think it had something to do with marketing since they thought the vector visuals on a PSX game would repel American audiences. (I'm not sure, don't quote me on that.) Though if I'm right, that might be the reason (and a pretty shitty reason if you ask me.)
