Classic muscle or modern ?The best of drag racing,Hellcat,Chevy Chevelle,Dodge Charger,Corvette Z06,Camaro SS,Mustang GT,Chevy Nova,Shelby GT500,ZL1 Camaro and more,Top speed,sound,acceleration of muscle cars.
No bro a classic is from the early 90s and older and they all suck, the only reason why those old cars won most of them is because they highly modified, the people in the new cars just was on drugs sleepin at the light or just didn't know how ta drive
mercsan117 not just that if You crash a classic charger camaro or mustang thats an expensive repair i dont even think the insurance company will or could cover it lmao.
You can't compare them. Old school was the first , different generation, technology and era of people , both will always remain in history and in people's hearts.
That's exactly why it's so educational entertaining and nostalgic all at the same time to show them all off together, I hope next gen has three way races like this with their models!
It’s suped up and driving skill is a factor ass well, but yeah the original cars look badass. A factory 60s Camaro wouldn’t stand a chance though against even regular cars today.
AEP not just design, they’re just simpler, they’re a more raw feeling, and nothing beats the way you feel when people break their necks to see what that thumping cammed v8 is hiding inside. Not to mention you can make a classic a hell of a lot faster than an rt challenger or a hellcat for the same money you’d spend on one.
New muscle car: Someday I'm gonna surpass you old man! I'm faster than you'll ever be! Old muscle car: You may be faster than me kid, but your not as classic or as iconic as I was
Old/New...Personally, I prefer Old but, I'm really just happy that there is some BADASS American Muscle nowadays that WILL go down in History as the Old American Muscle Cars have!! Combine the two and well, you have the drivability, fuel mileage, Nostalgic look and modern day Badassery!! I have a '72 Duster and I am putting a 2015 6.4 Hemi in it, late model suspension and a couple of power adders, hoping it will turn out like I'm wanting! Great vids, keep'em coming!!
Kevin Stout amen. Some of the things they are doing now a days, and lots of them with turbo/super-charged 6 cylinders! Reminds me of the old grand nationals.
Kevin Stout Old, New, Original, Modified, Restomoded either they're badass Muscle cars man and man they're vicious and makes girls shiver they're bones like no tomorrow mate. Restomods and Hotrods are my two favorites of them all man because like you said they give you vintage looks with Modern tech.
There are some pros and cons to old cars dude, so as the new cars, you can't watch this video and say "OOOO I PREFER AN OLD CAERR!!!=D" you also have to think about the pros and cons of the new cars in the old cars, you gave the old cars some credit, now it's time to give the new Cars some Credit.
My generation was us kids buying used muscle cars from families of brave men who didn't make it back from Vietnam. My father, veteran of WWII and the "Forgotten"war in Korea. RIP sirs.
Anthony Batista. And yet they're the heaviest/slowest of the bunch. it takes so much hp and engine size to make them as quick as another car with less weight and a smaller engine. However if you give the same amount of hp to the mustang or Camaro as the hellcat has. it's game over for dodge. That doesn't speak well for Mopar..
The old cars are really so much more superior to me. Those guys with those 60s/70s cars probably built them from the ground up with their own two hands in their own garages in evenings and on weekends. The modern guys go out n buy the car and go to the drag race thinking theyre better than anyone... thats the difference.
My thoughts exactly. If you make the mods necessary to make old school competitive it is coming to the track on a trailer and going home the same way. Something else to consider is what happens when you drive somewhere that is not a straight line. These new cars have suspension and handling that old school never dreamed of. And your wife/gf can still drive it to the grocery store.
Fun stuff to to see. Had to pause to check out times and speed, was surprised how close the hellcat and goat were. After the burnout, I thought the goat was going to walk away once the hammer was down.
wolvieguy doesn't matter how many seats the old 1 had its a muscle car. Its like saying a smart car is a sports car coz it's got 2 seats. Like I've said it's to do with statistics and that
An a great idea : Moderns vs. Cassics. When I think there was more 5 minutes of video it ...ended. Proof not only I, but my family and friends love your videos.A very, very nice job.👍👍
Hi There, Thanks for sharing my videos with your friends, that video is indeed longer than 10 minutes, maybe in the middle some adds pops up, once again Many Thanks
We are back in a new muscle car era for a new generation. These are good days! Don't take it for granted. We thought the first go 'round would last forever...
That's totally fine drive a old car when you get to an accident you'll die, drive a new car with the better Technologies you'll survive better in a crash, don't get the reason why people still Prefer Old Cars. 🙄
Its not just about computers, it's about the skill of the drivers and the fact that cars are made from lighter material than the 70's and 80's.. hands down I'll always choose the original.
They really should look back on the classic muscle cars. Their looks and performances are so iconic. They should modernize the classics interior but leave everything else the same as it was back then. If they did that for any classic car I would be dying.
I agree as in had a 3 1st generation Camaro's including a 67 RS Yenko clone in the mid 70's. 427/425 with 456 gears and a 4 speed, still turned mid 12's at 110 like nothing with a junk Holley 780 and a friends 25 inch slicks, still just as fast if not faster than a new SS but ALL things need to be compared to their day of glory whether it be a car or the space shuttle- New cars are DRIVEABLE, deliver decent gas mileage and you can cruise with them, my Camaro with 456 gears was useless and a joke on the highway driving 50 mph-- most old muscle cars ran in the 14's at under 100 mph off the floor that's it unless you got a Hemi Cuda or Yenko Camaro, my car had headers and that's it, stock and effective solid lifter cam, but the 425 version had the bigger valves, TRW pistons, etc.
Nice filming, gettin the times in view & all...all of it..The Belair/Camaro made think of when I took my 87 442(in 88) to Union grove Wisc. & 16 & a bunch of change is the best the Olds would do.All the new muscle looks meaner & more sinister.
Why don't they manufacturer the classic cool looking cars but add the new engines and stuff i bet way more people would buy the classic cars then the ones they make now
Because the old bulky designs are not aerodynamic. Plus in my opinion classic cars are beautiful because of their history and significance. I personally think classic cars are ugly, except for the Superbird. Modern Muscle cars are absolutely stunning and i believe they look 1000x times better than supercars and hyper cars.
that would require common sense. see these days people have no taste, are so damn lazy they need a app for everything, started the great bathroom debate, can't drive manuals and think a Prius is a car while they eat laundry detergent for a hobby. This is the reason why they don't normally build anything that looks good anymore to many anymore don't like good looking cars.
I love classic muscle but you gotta admit, those hellcats are awesome, imagine going back in time and telling the car enthusiast of then that you will be able to buy a 700hp 10 second car from the factory for less than $70k. My goal in life is to one day own either a challenger hellcat or a '67 impala
Pedro gaming what Challenger looks like that not a 69 obviously that's the first year they made them...than discontinued them until the late 2000s dumbass learn ur cars
No direspect to New school muscle but Old school muscle is better. The only thing better for new muscle is the transmission. That's the major difference. Old 3 or 4 speed vs 6, 7, 8, and 10 speed electronic control transmission that shifts on a dime that makes no mistakes. 👍👍👍
Materials, technology, efficiency, and engineering brought the muscle cars fame. The old school cars are decades behind in all of the aspects mentioned above. Automotive engineering has moved on beyond 8-tracks and six-packs.
If you crash in a new muscle car you would have less in between you and the object you are hit or hit by they are built light and with Fiberglass body unlike the older ones that are made of better materials.
bobby stenman since the other guy seems to have tourettes, I'll explain. Newer cars are actually designed to crumple in certain areas, and although it results in more damage to the car itself it also absorbs almost all of the energy of the crash. Sure, an old muscle car may not be damaged as much, but it will damage you much more in the event of a crash
Something people need to understand about the Hellcat and the Demon is that they have a completely unfair advantage. Because they come stock with a supercharger, they're allowed to race in a class that they shouldn't be able to, because they came that way. If any of the cars up against the Hellcats were supercharged, they would blow it right off the track, but that would be considered a pro-mod. The Hellcat is a joke, for people who can't build their own car or are too scared to race a tier above.
Xero Delacroix yeah that won't always happen yeah it is kinda unfair but it depends on what car if the hellcat is up against like a new tuned ford mustang gt would have no chance and a Camaro would have a better chance tho. but the funny thing is that the viper and the demon were not trying to compete the demon kinda was but not really Chevy tried to compete. they tried to make a car to rival the demon called the exorcist but it wasn't as quick or as fast. Chevy also was trying to rival the viper but kept getting one upped finally Chevy took the lead because dodge quit making the viper either last year or the year before so Chevy came back with its "super Corvette" but I know that's a different topic so let's go back to the true muscle cars ok Hellcats yes unfair but will not win all the time but might win most the time and so far no stock or tuned car has been able to get close to the demon besides the exorcist and it's still not as good. If you want me to try to explain anything better just ask also I'm sorry if a sentence doesn't make sense if it doesn't to u just ask me to tell u what I mean but u dont have to at all
Fred Garvin he’s saying back in the day. i know for a fact, back in the day a 71 z28 costed 6k which is the equivalent to 18k today. nowadays a z28 is ridiculously expensive. american muscle cars were founded on cheap speed going in a line.
You are wayyy wrong. The median price of a US house in 1968 was $14,950, today it is $240,000. That's 16 times higher. Prices rise. A 71 Z28 at $6,000 off the lot x 16 = $96,000. Inflation is a bitch huh? Homes have been improved since then, so have cars.
Cars, along with everything else are more expensive today. The average price of a home in 1968 was $14,950...today $240,000. Sixteen time more expensive. New muscle is WAY more powerful, comfortable, durable, safer, better handling, efficient and full of the latest tech. You need to consider facts.
I take old school muscle over any of the new shit any day... Everything made today is made soooo cheeeeezy... Back then, man and machine made the power, today ya got stupid computers controlling everything. Leave the damn computers in the offices!!!
Agreed. Not to mention how ugly new cars are. They are so cookie cutter, can't go one day without seeing a damn Camaro or Challenger on the street. No more real steel around.
Yeah Fred? Well wait 40 ~ 50 years and see how many of these new thin metal modern monsters are rolling the streets... Not near as many as the 60 & 70s muscle that are rolling now and lasted 40 ~ 50 years... Plastic and thin metal won't last...
The impressive thing about the new cars we see here is that they can take swap the slicks to street tires and daily drive them. I'm just talking about stock or lightly modded cars here... Sure the same might be true with some of the old cars, but with wild cams, carbs and whatever else, they'll be a lumpy (cam) mess to drive on the roads.
Steve Riddle.. The banking industry received a bailout, the auto companies were offered loans from G.W Bush administration first as a temporary solution then handed off to President Elect Obama. How you saw this series of events depended a lot on where you stood politically. If you were a progressive, you saw that Obama selected the best of unattractive options. While he didn't particularly want the government running car companies, the alternative was to let them go out of business right at the moment when the economy was reeling from the worst downturn since the Great Depression. At stake were not only the jobs of all of GM and Chrysler's employees, but the jobs of people who worked for hundreds of suppliers, from stereo manufacturers to steel and rubber producers. Estimates of the potential job losses topped one million. So he did what had to be done.
Lynyrd Skynyrd playin' on their 8-tracks.... blown away by advances in technology. Back to their shacks, drinkin Natty Lite by the case, wonderin' why their wives left 'em.
Hey folks its Fred Garvin the typical modern car lover. My 96 Ford F150 with a 5.0L (302) Windsor V8 will indeed outlast you're overpriced plastic junk.
No way. Ask yourself this. Would you rather drive cross country in a more powerful, longer lasting, better equipped, comfortable F150, or the rusty old '96 that you are stuck with. The new F150's are really nice, and packed with tech and muscle. Better engineered and will last longer than earlier models. It's called progress bro. Get with the times.
Fred Garvin In case You're wondering I do have a 2011 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 and it's a beast don't get me wrong but vehicles today are not only overpriced but they look hideous and ugly, so complicated to work on, made out of plastic, lack soul and character as well. If the 92-96 Ford Trucks are so unreliable then why are there so many 92-96 Ford Trucks with over 500,000 miles on they're original engines and transmissions still going strong. Don't believe me then look it up also look up the major problems of the 5.4L SOHC 3V Triton engines with the cam phasers. What about the recalls that GM vehicles been having. Look those up as well.
The 5.4's weren't the only ones with the cam phaser issues. I have a 2010 Sport Trac with the 4.6 and Ford has told me the only way to really fix the cam phaser issue is to replace them with aftermarket fixed phasers. To me, that isn't a solution. That is Ford admitting they have a design flaw and they don't know what to do about it.
Our memories are jaded because back in the day with 55hp VWs and slant 6 engines..these things seemed like beasts ....now a Mustang or Challenger V6 as fast as most of these...and much better brakes..handling...reliability....fuel economy.....and seats wayyy more comfortable...maybe cuz we were so young that a flat slab with vinyl on it was considered comfortable.....but I agree..the classics look 100 times better..except for new Challenger....don't know hiw Dodge made a new car look more classic than the classics...lol
Mod an old school car you have a 400 to 500 HP car mod the new car you have a 700 to 800 HP car. I would put my 2017 2SS against and stock old school camaro.
Not even close to modern. Most new cars here were beating old, and this is straight line comparison. The only thing old cars were good at. What about handling, safety, maintenance, rigidity, ride, modern convenience? Old cars suck and I had a 69 GTO convertible when I was a kid.
