It was surprisingly backwards. Maguire had selfless reasons for being Spiderman and selfish reasons for quitting. He already confronted who he thought was his uncle's killer, then wanted to make sure everyone else is protected from criminals like them. But then quit because it got too stressful and he lost his powers temporarily. Garfield had selfish reasons in becoming Spiderman and selfless reasons for quitting. He just wanted to find his uncle's killer but ended up never finding him. But once he realized his actions caused Gwen's death, he decided enough was enough, and he caused enough trouble.

Yeah that was a good point. The Garfield version quit being Spiderman because it caused the death of a loved one. Maguire quit because he didn't have his powers and the superhero life got in the way of his personal life anyway. Clearly

I've said it before AND I said it again: Tobey did a good nerdy and quiet Peter Parker but not a so confident and quipy Spider-Man Garfield did a good confident and quippy Spider-Man but not a nerdy Peter Parker Also I'f like to add one category...Which Movie had the better Spider-Man (as in the character, not the actor) My point would go to the Original due to the fact at least when chasing its Parker is chasing a bad guy, at least he tries to save people who might get hit while Garfield Parker actually wouldn't and just focus on quipping

There's no doubt that Tom Holland is *the* best for Spider-Man, but I'll always have a place in my heart for Maguire and Garfield. I hope in a future Spider-Man, they try their take on the Spiderverse, and show a crossover of the three. Next to Day of the Doctor from Doctor Who, and well, Into the Spiderverse, it could totally work. Maguire would be like, "Wait, you never did a ridiculous dance number in your universe??" And Garfield would be like, "Where the hell was *my* J.K. Simmons as Jameson?!"

18:29 - 19:22 I'm still not convinced that the plot for Spider-Man PS4 was supposed to be made into future Amazing Spider-Man movies with Garfield, had they done Amazing Spider-Man 2 right.
