@@qadri_ wRadion's vid is a TAS (tool-assisted speedrun) where movements are put in frame by frame to get a theoretically perfect run, it's not performed live by a human. read the description in his vid for more info
New skips and minor improvements in this run: 2:38 One-hand climb 3:06 Wheel-onto-rock skip 4:20 Left-hand raise onto right hand (very subtle) 4:40 One-hand climb once again
@@Luca_5425I think its quicker because you don't switch between arms meaning you dont have to hold on and let go with both and instead do it with one. You can see how once he gets the hang of it you get a lot of momentum and fly up far quicker.
Well, not fully consistently, tbh. His wr was beaten once by Distortion, but only for 10 minutes or something like that, before Clark set a new wr again
I don't really follow speedruns, but Getting Over it speed running blew my mind after I played and beat that game. Knowing it took me over an hour on my best attempt to see people just swinging through... I mention this to state my ignorance on the issue but I wonder just how close the human record can get to the TAS record (which is just absurd at this point, especially considering how short the game has been out). If I could even complete this in half an hour I'd feel like a champion lol...
@@jetjazz05 I'd say human limit could be sub 4 after a year or two. There are still many places where you can do the quick climb and stuff but requires extremely precise grabs. There are still small skips discovered here and there. For example, the sandbag skip is extremely hard but can save about 3 seconds.
Glad to see the skip i mentioned was possible! There is no other word to describe this run than incredible! never would i guess some of those insane skips that you introduces like the one hand climb!
Seeing the 10 min video a couple weeks ago and now seeing this, getting to see the progression over time is so cool, and inspiring! Keep climbin, gamerz!
I have never played this game but I keep coming back to watch your WR attempts with bated breath! It's incredible that you have cut minutes off your time so quickly
@@nirorit It’s great! And that’s gonna be super slow for a tas in say, two years. Seems like a lot of time can be saved by efficiently skittering everywhere.
I love the ending, I had a dream similar to it a few years ago where I flew above the clouds and outside of the atmosphere, only to enter into a large ocean suddenly!
I have no idea how this is your best run even after falling on the climbing wall. And climbing stuff one-handed looks so goofy. The other runs I've seen from you seemed so clean. I am not complaining, it's very entertaining.
I litterally don't even want to try so speed run it every in any way. I'm just glad to make it to the end. But from those videos you can learn about the optimal way to do it and mostly much easier way to get forward to skip even some annoying passages and save some time instead of trying to use some confusing platforms, grabs and gribs which totally can be ignored to go ahead. xD
Man imagine trying to spend a nice evening on top of the Empire State Building or something and see a parkour dude climbing up the building like this at 200 miles an hour. Id shit myself
