This video shows an older Aussie surfer living the dream on a north coast point break called Crescent Head in N.S.W Australia.
This surfer was slow to his feet, but once up and riding you could see years of skill as he smoothly rode down the point.
They call the stance, bicycle pose! Really awesome to watch.
I hope to capture more content like this of others living life in the ocean and enjoying what it has to offer.
As we know it's not all about pro surfers and who is doing the biggest air!

Not really surfing just taking up space in the water, I believe what Mr. pipeline #1 (Gerry Lopez) told Mr. pipeline #2 (Rory Russell) at some point you need to bow out gracefully

I seriously think that Gerry would never say this, especially as a Hawaiian. Gerry is much better than that.. Kahunas are respected on the water no matter How old they get. Now if he Did say that for fact, then he has violated every meaning of Aloha, and it's a damn shame. However if he is talking about retiring from competition, that is a whole different thing but you NEVER have the right to tell someone they no longer should be on the water, especially a person who spent his life on the water surfing, etc. That is totally disrespectful and egotistical.

Sorry, but it's exactly what surfing is in my opinion. Enjoying the ocean and riding a wave. Did you know George Greenough is nearly 80 and rides a matt. The founder of the shortboard

@@forthosewhosurf Yeah, I live where he and Bob created the first ridable shortboard. Technically it was born from shaping kneeboards in 1964 which eventually evolved into standup shortboards in 1966.Fifteen years later another local Al Merrick would change the quality custom shapes of the shortboard forever. Oh, and George is also credited to shaping the first swept-back (dolphin) fin that is used on pretty much every board today.
