Older titles have the RECIPE FOR SUCCESS of the Battlefield franchise.. 

I think weapon restrictions need to be in the next game. Overall just fits better with how Battlefield plays. Allows players to try new classes and makes gameplay more predictable

@@zenafps "Fits" is a subjective view. I feel that Battlefield can and should be played as a sandbox, which implies that no significant restrictions should be present. That's just me tho Allows it, but it doesn't reward it in any way. Do you know a lot of people who genuinely wanted to try new classes when they had to swap from their favorite weapon class? I know far more Assault sweats who never even touched anything besides AEK instead. Makes what predictable exactly? Are you gonna react differently to a sniper glint if you know it's a recon? There will be a different way of handling a sniper when he is a medic? Are you sure about that? And what changes in your behavior when you see a Support in BF3? He has ability to use LMGs. PDWs and Shotguns, that covers 90% of firefights, is it really that different from an Engineer who can use Carbines, PDWs and Shotguns?

Yeah the overall laziness from the dev team when it comes to portal is depressing. So much wasted potential
