While serving with 16 Signal Regiment in the 70s took part in the freedom of Krefled parade,and also spent a lot of time on exercises in Xanten forest.
I was on exchange from the Australian Army in 1982 with 101 Pro Coy in Dusseldorf and participated in the parade for the freedom of Xanten, quite a memorable occasion also spent time with 19 Support Platoon in Bielefeld on SOXMIS duties. Sad to see the end of a proud unit.
