We visited New Orleans' oldest and one of the most famous in the world, Antoine's. This restaurant is where Oysters Rockefeller was invented and is in the run and operated by the 5th generation of Antoine's descendents.
Take a stroll through the French Quarter and stop into Antoine's for a very unique mulled liquor coffee, Coffee Bruhlet. Experience traditional fine dining with Southern hospitality.
Check out our other videos of renowned restaurants in New Orleans.

I just love New Orleans and the culture there. It is a national treasure that should be preserved at all cost.

The server was truly delightful. Would love to go there and have that fine gentleman be my waiter.

Very sloppy as he sloshed the coffee all over the white tablecloth as he clanged the ladle against the side of the warmer. Trēs gauche to be sure and not commiserate with fine dining.

I started watching without sounds, and whilst the server may have been lovely the way he clicked his pen on the oyster plate wasn't ?! 😮👍🇦🇺

I had the pleasure of dining there in April of 2022 while there for French Quarter Fest. Truly one of the greatest dining experiences of my life. The oysters Rockefeller were amazing. My only regret is that I didn’t do a double order of them 😂

Absolutely astonishing. I have known about this restaurant for many years, but never knew that there was an enormous museum hidden in all those rooms!

Anyone remember the cartoon where Bugs Bunny pranks two French Chefs? He makes them a “Louisiana Back Bay Bunny Bonalais -A’la Antoine”? “You mean Zee Antoine? Of New Orleans? Sacre Bleu! Zees Recipe I must know” 😂

French Rarebit (1951) That's probably many people heard the name of the restaurant. I saw the cartoon about in the mid 70's.

Excellent tour. Some misinformation. Unfortunately, Hurricane Katrina caused the loss of Antoine's original wine collection. Antoine's wine team is still working of its collection and doing a fabulous job. Bern's Steakhouse has a larger wine collection with 750K bottles of wine.

Watching youtube videos is what I am doing. I went to New Orleans the first week of June. I never left my hotel room at the Waldorf Astoria Roosevelt. The moment the plane landed and I was waiting for my luggage at the airport, I wanted to go home immediately. The energy (souls) I felt from the city was too much for me. I will try again.

That's very unfortunate you were fearful of this cultural rich city (300 years old +). My suggestion next time to go to New Orleans go with people who have been several times before and know the City well. I promise if you went with me you'd love it. It is Emeril's city so how can you go wrong. Live your Life !!!

Hope you make it back one day. It is truly a city like no other. Many unassuming wonderful people there that love to share with everyone what makes their city special. All of the differing cultures that came over the past 300 yrs, left influences that are alive there today. Regards

Where are they from saying it's cold? Are they from London? That's the south, it doesn't get too cold. It's Jan and 75 degrees there in 2023.

It can get quite cold in N.O., depending on whatever mother nature throws at it that year. Add in the humidity (called dampness in the winter) and you can have cold spells in winter and very hot summers. The weather is not New Orleans' best attraction.

Antoine's is located in a prime area to get shot in the frequent shootings that occur seemingly everyday. Do they provide helmets for the patrons while they dine these days?
@wesleygary6651

The customers dress like they are dining in at McDonald's or combing the Jersey Shore. Antoines' thanks for allowing this, for their sake. Must have been the slow season.

We used to absolutely LOVE going down to The French Quarter for the day for lunch and a few hurricanes at Pat O'Brien's, but the last couple years it's become a safe-haven for bums and junkies, way more that it used to be, so I don't go anymore. There are bums everywhere. Last time we went some bum (notice I say "bum", not "poor homeless person". That's because they are bums!!!) kept talking to us and telling all this wonderful stuff about himself and smoking pot and just wouldn't get the Hell away from us!! Finally I had to get in the guys face and yell at him to go away! He started hollering for the police. Haven't been back since, and won't go until the City decides to do something about it.
