one of the proudest moments as an ND fan. I'll never forget where I was at when all my friends where yelling at me , making fun of me, then how crazy I went when they came back,.....so awesome
I was a sophomore in the ND marching band. This was one of the most amazing moments of my entire marching band career. Thanks for the great video and GO IRISH!
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN THE SHOTGUN IN A MONSOON?! You're asking Drew Stanton to run the option in Hurricane Katrina! You're coming out five wide. RUN THE FOOTBALL!"
They mismanaged the clock AGAIN. They didn't use their timeouts right AGAIN! And they allowed the opposition to go in at halftime and make adjustments AGAINNNN!!!!
I'm glad I found this video. As happy as I am with the current STATE of my beloved Spartan football program, this is a great look back at what a debacle it used to be. The pain and anguish every season with John L. Smith. This allows us to truly appreciate what we have with Mark Dantonio. This night was the last straw for me with Mr. Smith. Freezing, soaked, watching in the stands with my college roommate from Florida who came up for his first ever MSU game. Pretty sure this game turned him into a Notre Dame fan. What a joke John L. was.
I still have most of Olde's videos from those years. He did a good job. This game was incredible. Then John L said that Charlie slapped him and at the end of the game, some of his players were on the field protecting their logo as if ND players were immature enough to try to plant a flag on their field. Unlike the MSU players from the year before, the ND players had class.
Smith said he got slapped during the melee on the sideline (around 2:40 in this video) Kinda suspect that Smith got slapped considering the incident took place on ND's sideline.
The best part of that was Lisa Salter trying to interview Charlie Weis going into halftime ... when clearly all Charlie could think about was the bucket of chicken that was waiting for him in the locker room.
Crazy how different the culture is now, Weiss felt like they were gonna lose every game and Kelly truly believes in his team, and the team believes in itself.. This shows when there was that late hit and all the ND players just watched instead of getting in States face
Michigan acts like having the M brand is the ultimate trump card. It's not. Win on the field. Most delusional fan base in America. Ohio State just scored again.
