A young guy who wasn't even born at that time doing the house classics from my youth in the living room with such energy and passion! Absolutely brilliant! ❤
@@Cupra317hp fun fact. When He plays disco Revenge from Gusto IT reminds me to my fault, when i bought the EP Just a half year before. Cause two weeks before i listening to the electronic music anthology. And on vol. 6, there is also Gusto's disco Revenge. I think buying the EP was useless, but now ITS too late and i have a Backup If Something Happens to one of the records 😂 btw, If ya Like the Housemusic He plays, you can Check Out my Mixes. Maybe u will discover Something new you like✌️
Love how he's raising his arms during his set. Someday, you will raise your arms in front of thousands of people dancing to this awesome set! House music all night long!
Had to like it because it was a kid spinning records......not cheating.....like learning to take photos using a dark room. Hope he makes it far. Kudos Kid...Kudos.
Yo appreciate it! Check out Calvinshootsfilm on Instagram, my analog photography account. Although I have darkroom printed a bunch most of the photos are digitalized by me on a Kodak scanner. ;)😂🎞
I've been a DJ since 1993, São Paulo, Brazil, if you can play that, man, you play everything on the vinyl and on the controllers, congratulations boy, you did a great job.
Turn the volume up and enjoy this 90s Oldschool house mix I recorded early in the morning! Ps. The Todd Terry remix of Missing that I kinda dropped came out 100% unharmed, looks a little scrached but sounds like as if nothing had ever happened. ;)
You were probably born just when my knees started showing the results of all night dancing during the early 90's in NYC. Good job kid, thanks for taking me back...I'll gladly pay to download this mix!
O am not going to lie. I couldn't get out of my car. One track after the other: I was waiting to see what you dropped next! Great set, youngster. Keep up the good work, and remember: "In the beginning, there was Jack..."
Kind regards from Germany. Actually, I rarely comment, but it has to come out here ;-) To everyone out there: listen to the other mixes too! Finally, something that you don't hear on every corner. And the way he plays makes me (and I see many others) feel like I'm in a time capsule. THANK YOU FOR THAT ❤
@@djcalvinben Keep them coming, your mixes bring me back to a wonderful time, the places and the people who I had the best time at/with... Many thanks from an old Irish dancehead 🇮🇪☘️👾
🔥 this is my youths music!!!! I'm back in school disco! 🔥🙌💪🥳🥳🥳 The best times!!! 1980-2000 💪💪 Many of our apprentices mainly listen to 1970-2000's music! They say that the liders of those times are groove and much more pleasant to listen to, and brings good mood! 😋😎🙌
It's nice to see the younger people enjoying our music but the sad thing is I have socks older than him fuck it's shit getting old 😂😂😂😂😂😂 great days dancing with some little sort you have pulled on the dance floor great times ❤
Music is indeed the answer. OMG Those BLENDS! You're full of Talent! This set is full of BANGERS after BANGERS after BANGERS! This set reminds me of "It's the Funky Prog House Mix by Cru! 1 Hour long!" Look for it, the vibes are literally the same in the last part of the set.
Mind just blown😮🎉. How are you 20 and gettin down like its 1993. You go boy!! All you need is blue jean overalls with one side unattached and a Hyper Color shirt.
that magic sound of pushing or stop a vynil. For my, thats pure. All of the software now is great... But 2 vynils, equalizer and flow is the soul of all of this.
As a queen who spent the 90s early 00’s. partying. I had to comment. My first comment out loud was a jerky “ were u even born in the 90s. “ I apologise. U did the music justice. Soon as Tori came on then missing straight after. I’m like damn this kid knows his shit. Well done man. Kudos You blended well. You are talented 🎉👍🏻
You got me on the first track bro! Massive respect for playing tracks way before you're time. Mad respect for using SL's and the fact that you are reading the vinyl.
90's were without doubt the best decade for House music. They were also over when this dude was born by the looks of him (No offence) yet they were that good, they got him hooked!! Fantastic set, great skills, thank you so much for this, takes me back to a time where I didn't have 3 kids and a mortgage but had a pair of SL1200's and a DJM 600s !!! 🤣🤣
Oh my god!!you are brilliant!! I had back ache while tidying up the house..and found you youtube and got me dancing..back pain?? What!!!!...keep it up babe!!!
Blown away by how amazing this set!! I’m from this generation of house music and this guy knocks it out of the park. Especially since those songs are from his parent’s generation. The kicker is he is doing it on vinyl. Get’em brother
Amazing lad, thus has to be his mum and dad's influence. No technology shote like so called pj's use now, proper vinyl and apart from q mistake his mixing is mind blowing ❤❤❤❤
Brother MAD RESPECT from Toronto. It's so insane that I'm 50 young and your........ Well younger than me LOL. Your killing it! Rad traxx's from my Rave and club scene days from the 90's. I'm in the office now blaring your set like a mad man, Woot woot! Keep on Dropping mad mixes brother keep'em coming, your keeping my soul young.
Goodmorning @@djcalvinben Indeed no standing in front of,me 56 now and it was awesome.🤩 But what we did was asking the DJ to tape the set and giving him a cassette tape offcourse no charge.Have a nice day 010-NL 😎
YeahOh what a time that was for me as a DJ, I'm still in love with those vinyl records and the nightlife at that time peace, love and lots of fun Thank you DJ Calvin Beautiful memories xxx from Dj Nancy from Amsterdam living in Amstelveen right now
I've been on this planet for 43 years and I'm already envious of the 15 minutes and most likely full 1 hour and 15 minutes of your recorded life that I have been part of. Well played and thanks, squire. *edit- Also as it should be with brilliance and fault on display. Total respect.
Ahh Remember it well back in the good old day 90s house what a period that was yeah i lived it i was there. 1300 people bouncing having a great time. the memories. good set good talent. Also nice to see Vinal again.
Very good set. I was looking for this here. A young DJ who studies music that is not from his time. You are an inspiration to DJs of your generation. Mistakes are just the scars of a good DJ. Mistakes are music. Allow yourself to make mistakes. Imperfection is the mix that has soul. Without the horrible "sync" button. Congratulations, DJ. A blessing from Brazil.
You cannot beat the feel of the platter on your finger tips. I learnt on a mates set of 1210's. I couldn't afford them so had some direct drive copies that wandered all over the place. Kept you on your toes. Had Midi controllers afterwards and tbh a monkey could mix with them. That is a set up to die for.
You should try vestax I have the pdx 2000s bought them when the came out because I wasn't impressed with 1210s unreal the defence mixes are easier and tighter than the 1210s
@@gsta3541 been using them since the 2000s came out and anyone that played them said they where better than technics if they where that rubbish Carl Cox wouldn't have championed them
@@DjDeanB I had technics first sold them after 6 months didn't like them they never held the mix was always having to push the record to keep it in time but don't have to with the 2000s so I know from my own experience they are better technics where just industri standard just like pioneer are now but iv seen loads of people starting to say Denton are up there with them some even say they are better
I find it fascinating when dj is just focusing on trying to cue the next tunes, trying to beatmatch again and again then will wait for the break to mix the songs... you can hear some beat not match but quickly recover by slightly pushing or stopping the turntables, i really enjoy watching dj doing this all night... rather than seeing dj just keep rotating mixer.knobs and keep jumping.... those were the days. Where dj really is a dj... kudos to you👌✌️
The fact you purchased these records and love them is all that matters. Would have loved to hear some more real 90's house. You started with one of the most quintessential tracks. Big mistake. Love the love for the craft.
Right tables Right Mixer Right HEADPHONE (the only one when you are mixing in loud places-DJs know) Right Chose of Music Good mixing. God how i miss that
Mad mix mate. G'day from Australia. Kinda gonna bet you weren't born for these tunes, but super impressed by your music knowledge and mixing skills. Nothing sounds better than a needle on vinyl. These tunes were the backbone of every Gen X'ers club nights. Well done, keep 'em coming! Brings back awesome memories to this old Gen X clubber.
Hello You Definitely did not Play Live in the 90's but Your TrackListing is Amazing. Especially the G.O.A.T. at 41:22 Seconds. OMG now that's a Banger I did not hear a DJ play it in Decades. Well Done I am a new Fan now Prash from South Africa
