To me I think it was princely … he changes our pass rush so much you almost can’t block him 1v1. He created single matchups for guys like pueges and Perkins
Both losses are unforgiveable.......we beat ourselves. If Arky plays normal it might be a win for us but if they play like they did Saturday it will be tough. Ole Miss has to use their tight ends a lot more in order to win.
I've had this AR game circled since season started. I'm 58 so I suffer from Rebel PTSD, and I've got so many bad memories of playing the Hogs. Yes, OM looked good in the 2nd half against OK, but someday....somehow....Kiffin is going to have to put TWO good halves together. One good half doesn't beat good teams, and it darn sure doesn't win championships. AR is playing really, really good football right now. We'll need to be at our best to win.
For Ole Miss, it is playoff or bust. For the Razorbacks, they would love to spoil your season. Ole Miss has all of the pressure and the Razorbacks not so much. Which team will handle it better on Saturday I wonder? Taylen Green is getting much better. His passing percentage has been a lot better the last 3 games. Ole Miss offense hasn't put a complete game together in awhile. Bottom line, I see this game being decided by turnovers. Whichever team can make the other turn the ball over will win. Arkansas is undefeated and a top 5 team when they win the turnover battle. When they lose the turnover battle they look like a top 75 team. It will be interesting to see how this plays out Saturday.
Whatever happened against Penn State in the bowl game when Dart ran to Kiffin to tell him that Judkins had a bad attitude, to me that was what ruined this season. They needed to keep Judkins even with a bad attitude. Someone at RB to scare defenses is needed. And why Dart had that much say in things is baffling to me. It’s like they were playing the parents against Judkins. Very weird, and now there’s Parrish who couldn’t even get carries at Miami right now
Im torn, if harris comes back, and Kiffen calls the same type of game he did saturday, our odds go way up for the rest of our games.. but if harris comes back and Kiffen goes back to calling as if we only have 2 players on the field, the way he did agains KY, SC, and LSU..we could lose out..
Pardon the disguised french but they salvage sht unless they beat Georgia. Ole Miss needs to run up the scores on all these remaining opponents. Heres what they should do(maybe too late to retrain an old DOG): --Keep doing this: Spread the football around. Going to the tightends and often especially in the seams --Stop doing that: They still go for inopportune 4th and shorts. STOP and take the easy points you kill momentum on fails Pass rushing 3 linemen Stop relying on analytics. Analytics are for machines, people play this game. --Do this: Spread the field more go to Juice Wells on fly/deep routes use his speed for heavens sake Mix in Rashad Amos you need more yards after contact mixin Bentley more Start using the quick-snap offense again More pass rush stunts/overloads/blitzes, they get lazy just relying on the D-line's talent
Taylen Green can run faster and better laterally than Matt jones ever could and has as big an arm as Ryan Mallett. Kid through a 60yd touchdown pass across his body in a full run and hit the WR in the chest on a jump ball in the end zone. He has increased his completion % by 20%-25% in the last 3 or so weeks. Not only that but we with very little effort can run 2 backs over a combined 300yds while he passes for 400yds and that doesn’t include TG running the ball on busted plays or RPOs.
There is no resurrection, we played a bad Oklahoma team and didn't score a point in the 4th quarter, we'll be lucky if we beat Arkansas, Georgia is going to run us through the mud and probably Florida too if something doesn't change. I'd bet state is going to give us a run for our money if not outright beat us. We need a new OC period, as much talent as our offense has we should have points every time we touch the ball, but play selection is almost obvious, they're just now getting our tight ends involved, and if not for Harris being injured that probably wouldn't have happened, our run plays lack creativity, and our guys are completely undisciplined. We have so many negative yard plays from penalties it's insane. If we didn't have Pete golding and our defense we'd be 4 and 4 right now.
It’s time to start talking about the elephant in the room, style points …… Let’s be honest , there could potentially be 6 teams in the SEC with 10-2 records . There’s no undefeated teams left so we’re only getting 4 teams in this year . If we go head to head with LSU we’re out . That loss to Kentucky is worse than any loss any other2 loss team has . We just have to win the game against Georgia but outside of that style points matter to the CFB playoff committee..:..
There is a very real possibility that could happen. I could see them putting a 9-3 Alabama, Georgia, LSU, or A&M team in over Ole Miss just because of how weak the schedule looks. That Kentucky loss looks really bad right now. All of them other teams will have more than 1 top 25 win. Ole Miss needs to beat Arkansas and then hope they finish the regular season in the top 25 with wins over Texas & Missouri. Ole Miss will not get any style points for beating Miss St and maybe not Florida (not sure) either.
Steve, I think they are only going to put 4 teams from the SEC in the playoffs if that. 4 conference champions, a group of 5 champion, and Notre Dame will be in if they win out. That is 6 spots. That leaves 6 left. Ole Miss needs to win out but they need to show more than just squeaking by. I guarantee you that if it comes down to a 10-2 Georgia vs a 10-2 Ole Miss you know which team is going in. They aren't going to go by head to head alone. If they don't show some dominance over the last 4 games I am not sure 10-2 alone will be enough.
Man, this year you got teams like Boise State and BYU, I don't think they will accrue enough losses to escape the playoffs, the SEC will probably get 3 slots. You got Texas, Georgia, Tenessee. Ole miss can only knock off one of these. Georgia is a must win.. and you have to hope Texas romps A&M..and then theres whether or not Bama will get the nod over Ole Miss. Rebels needs some help cause strength of schedule sucks. Start rooting fro Vandy and Kentucky
I will not say that Kiffin cannot win big games. I will say that we have never seen him win big games. Arkansas is going to be a TOUGH game. Win out? Not hardly. They still have Georgia; at least that one is at home.
