Him and Dasaev in goal were legendary members of the USSR teams,renowned internationally in the 60s and 70s,and in Blokhin's case the majority of the 80s.

I am from Kyiv myself and was born in 1965. He played for the Dynamo youth team. Oleg Vladimirovich Blokhin is the idol of my childhood. I always went to the stadium for Dynamo games! Look how he single-handedly beat Bayern Munich in 1975! And Bayern won everything they could then. All the 1974 world champions played there, and Franz Beckenbauer was the captain.

I remember watching him and the Soviet Union team at that World Cup,the first one I watched as well. They were one of the last seven countries still standing when Poland knocked them out. I also remember watching them on TV again as they embarrassed England in a friendly at Wembley Stadium in 1984.

I remember this player quite well. I first saw him in that great WC match between Brazil and Russia that Brazil won with 2 - 1. Oleg Blokhin was the best player in that match despite Brazil having one of the best Brazilian teams in history. From that match on he was one of my favorite players. He was one of the fastest players ever but he combined that with a George Best like technique of cutting inside and outside dribbling skills. Thanks for making this video for the man who won the Ballon d'Or in 1975 and was chosen once at European player of the year.

No digas que se adelantó porq en ese tiempo habían unos recracks también, decir de adelanto es como decir que antes no existían está clase de jugadores, que no habían redes sociales ni tanta televisión es otra cosa.. yo q tengo 55 lo escuché nombrar pero no lo ha via visto aparte de unas cuantas jugadas.. Gullit , van basten , rumennige ,platini, Maradona, zico, Sócrates ,eder ,falcao. El brasilero y tantos y tantos hasta que tuvieron más trascendencia que el.. No sé si la palabra adelantado sería la mejor expresión..

Funny how people who never actually saw him play are making judgements based on a short video. I followed him since 1972 and saw at least 80% of his games when he was playing in the USSR., He was my favorite player but had a lot of weaknesses in his game.

Bllohin was indeed a Great Player..During 70 ties was the best Player of Eastern Europe. .After him Boniek came out .Dzajic was a fake .Allthough Shevcenko surpassed him
