HOW are the olfactory receptors activated? No commentary, just HOW? Does cilia move mucus over receptors?

Molecules from the food's odour is inhaled, and lands on the cilia

The video is not factually correct anyway. There are only about 400 olfactory receptors in humans and they have to detect many thousands of odorants. The mechanism is not one type of odorant per receptor!

Why cant we smell like a dog? And how dogs do find missing Humans or sniff drugs from miles Away where humans cant do that??
