I think comparing marriage to prostitution/sex work is so out of date, and kinda simple minded. Back in the day women were not working etc. most households are partnerships. In sex work the person providing sex is not benefitting. They are only providing a service. In marriage you and your partner have an exchange of emotional, psychological, economic, etc wellbeing. I think to only focus on the transactional price ignores all the nuance of marriage. And to assume a partner will leave only cause there’s no sex is ignorant. Plenty of marriages go through dry spells while raising kids, especially newborns etc. I agree with Necey and Jamie…‘sube in a n unhealthy marriage you can draw the parrallel, and given the girls in the clip sounded like they were of African nationality, I wouldn’t be surprised if marriage for them still does reflect the antiquated view.
