The great OLGA and a group of amazing young dancers said farewell Bolshoi!, dancers without fear, they are stronger than war and bombs. BRAVO for this brave group of dancers
I agree. Smirnova's costume with the black velvet bodice and subtle (unflashy) decoration on the skirt, is a sublime example of the designer and costumier's art. Bravo to the Bolshoi wardrobe department.
Bravissimi.Bighin GIULIO RENZO
This is Olga Smirnova. A Russian ballerina. About her the BBC writes. Because Olga finally had enlightenment, and she declared that she was "against the war with all the fibers of her soul." Then she left Russia to join the Dutch National Ballet. Who received her immediately and with warm embraces. Now she will dance beautifully in Europe. And this is Artem Datsyshyn. A Ballet dancer of the National Opera of Ukraine and winner of international competitions. He will never dance again. He died at the hands of the Russian occupiers. That's all you need to know about culture outside of politics. On the prospects of unity under the auspices of culture. And about the price of war. Which we pay. And which they (Russians) use.
Artem was a Ukrainian dancer. He never danced with Smirnova. Don't lie. He left the theater, became a soldier and was killed at a battlefield. It was his choice. Condolences to the family.
Olga e stupenda, grazia, sicurezza.
I don't see any great ballerinas after Smirnova (30 years old), Oksana Skorik (31), Sarah lamb (40 or 41 - soon retired?), Alina Cojocaru (almost 40 - idem), and Osipova (34). Ballet carriers go at the speed of light and what I see today is that ballet world is pulling us down. Young girls with flaws, bad trainings, with bad habits for years. And nothing that has not been done yet. I'm interested in what the future will be.
What strikes me the most is how she manages to hit those incredible extensions without making it look vulgar or showoffish, as is the case with so many ballerinas these days, especially in Russia. Maybe it’s innate class, which I’m sure has something to do with her recent act in repudiation of Putin and his war. Good for her and great for the Dutch!
@@marinanikiforova7963 She's a unique talent who managed to outclass her schooling and nationality to become a world class artist and, now, also a symbol of integrity.
UP, UP, UP, Ukraine won the Eurovision Song Contest, GLORY to ALL the brave mothers and families of Ukraine, Congratulations to all the Ukrainian people. OLGA I feel your happiness. God BLESS you and give peace again.
He has the looks but not a very good yet for this role. I saw glimpse of some unsure look on her face like something was just not right. You can tell how he's grabbing her by the waist when she does turns.
Mikio Hirata, indeed, he looks good. Besides, he is perfect for this role. What are you talking about? Don't you think you're just biased? Minute hitches always exist in live performances. Tissi and Smirnova are good enough for the audience to love them in this production. Maybe you shouldn't watch ballet. Why do you watch it? Anyway, I don't know what you're always complaining about.
Russian missiles have killed Ukranian ballet star Artyom Datsishin. Nobody (except Pakistan) is going to visit Russia or allow Bolshoi performances - the world is so shocked at what you are letting Putin do to Ukraine.
It doesn't have to be hyper extended and original was not done in 6 o'clock. Bolshoi ballerinas tend to do that and yes it's impressive but it's as difficult to keep your leg at 10 of 6. She didn't have as good a performance here due to her partner not able to support her here and there (more cautious than many fine dancers) and wasn't quite comfortable through out.
Ballet is not a competition: who will jump higher or be able to throw a leg behind the ear, who will perform more difficult fuet or show more acrobatic tricks.
You seem to be not very familiar with ballet, she is definitely not too thin, some others are definitely in the ballet world and eating disorders are quite common. In my opinion she has beautiful arms and neck.
